Some feedback on my interview at the Paris Embassy :

Appointment at 10am so I got there around 9.35am. They make you wait in line in front of the embassy, around 9.45 they let the people "in". You go Under a "tent" for a precheck (they check your bags, ask to turn off your phone, be careful as laptops are not allowed!), then you go to a desk where people put your paperwork in order. Then you go Inside the building, with another security check (this one is like at the airport). You will have to give them your phone, electronics, chargers, usb key, keys… They give you a number in exchange).

Then you go in, and you follow the line for visa and you wait for the first step :

I waited around 45 minutes, then you go to a desk and they ask to confirm name, phone number and adress. They also asked me for my passport, 2 ID pictures, Birth certificate, wedding certificate, police certificate.
After that, they make you go wait in another un... read complete review

Interview lasted about 3 minutes. The consular was very friendly and didn’t make me panic whatsoever. He asked me to tell him about “how I met my fiancé, what he does for a living, why I like him, what do my parents think of him, show him my favorite picture of us... Everything looks good to me & your visa has been approved. Congratulations!”

Interview went faster and easier than expected. A lot of the prepared documents weren’t asked for. The agent asked a few questions about me to my beneficiary fiancé and then he said we were approved! The whole interview took around 5 minutes. When you enter the embassy you immediately give the documents they ask for and then you wait to be called to speak to the agent.

Review Topic: L-1 Visa

My appointment was at 9:45. The email said you could present yourself at the security check 15 minutes before so I went at 9:30. There was no queue so I was let in right away. Had to leave my phone as stated. First I had to pay the visa fraud and prevention fee as I was on a blanket application. I tried to pay with my wife's american card but they won't let you if it's not in your name so had to pay with my french card. Next I was sent to the visa line. Probably waited about 20 minutes. Went to a window where the officer took my paperwork. He looked for certain documents (I-797, I-129,...) and put them in a certain order. He was speaking french to me but I couldn't hear him very well. He said something about a letter being only in one copy when there should have been three because I had three copies of the I-129 but I did not understand what he meant. It stressed me as I thought I was going to have to come back but at the same time I was sure that I had all the required documents and e... read complete review

Well it’s alarming that the US embassy in Paris, France does not offer sooner interview dates for K-1 visas. I guess the policy is that student visas are processed first. Our NOA2 approval was processed and accepted by the NVC then sent to the US Embassy around 4/14/2019. This process has been draining and disheartening. I would hope to give them a better rating if they were able to respond back quickly but there are too many holidays and other things happening there. I can only imagine the work load is high.
