Well I had the impression they are very rude people..but for me when i was there for my interview and i was there for notarizing some papers ..people was very nice and not rude at all and all our emails was replied with very nice words ..I really feel how they are under stress ..the day of my interviw there was like 60 people there just in one day!!!! it's very busy embassy
so they are nice but the problem when I try to call them it's really hard to get someone who may reply me when I call ..but they always replied my husband phone calls...it's really hard embassy to go through so GET READY..

Like many have already stated, just about everyone who works in the Cairo Embassy are extremely rude. I have been through the smart *ss remarks, and smirks. I was even told AFTER I was married that I will have problems getting married because I have two children and never legally married. That was BS. We finished our petition interview, recieved our case number (which took the max amount of time they were alowed), have submitted our VISA application. Now here's where it gets unbelieveably outrageous. We were sent a letter from the Embassy (the one with the case number on it) stateing that we would recieve a reply within 10 business days. THAT was a LIE!!! So we decided to call and was told, "well there are a lot of people, you will just have to wait." OK Then why tell people that you will respond in 10 business days???? I wrote them by e-mail as well. Lo and behold after a week I get a responce saying, Thank you for ur e-mail, blah blah blah , we recieved the complete VISA applicatio... read complete review

These people are just very rude. The girl who answers the phone, will hang up on you, transfer you and generally tell you she can't even talk now and hang up. She doesn't care if you call from USA or where. She says she doesn't have papers and you are making mistake to call NVC. Then later you find your interview date is on the list at the Embassy? So they are very incompetent.
I will tell anyone who is having problems. I was at the Embassy and talked personally with Chris Rich - who seems to be in charge of this area for the the marriage and approval of the visas. Also another man, (who himself has attitude and rude) his name is Terry but I'm not sure his last name.
If you ever have problems getting in to the Embassy - just tell them you talked with Chris Rich or Terry in the consulate office, and they let you in immediately.
Also, if you have problems with the people hang up or lost your papers or treat you in a bad way, so just ask... read complete review

This is the most unorganized place I have ever seen! I think we were directed into 10 different directions before we were told to sit and wait for his name to be called. I was not allowed to go to the window while he was being interviewed, I had to stand back a few feet. Not impressed. Everyone was basically very rude.
