I will paste part of my husband's email to give you an idea. I am not entirely sure about the attitude of the officer or courtesy issues. My rating will pend until I can update this review

American Embassy was on time for interview. Abdu very nicely treated by his interviewer. The interview lasted about 20 minutes. It was done partly in Arabic and partly in English. He said his interviewer was very nice lady. Then it was over and she told him congratulations he should receive the visa in 7 to 10 business days. Many prayers from the Christians here and the Muslims in Egypt made this visa possible. Thank God and allah akbar. May everyone else have success.

My husband arrived at 7:30 and had to wait quite a long time. There were a lot of people there that day. He was called up, and asked for his birth certif., and told to sit back down. Then called up and asked for our marriage certif., and asked to sit back down. Finally he was called up for the interview. The CO was a man who spoke Arabic. He asked my husband: when we were married, how we met, what I did in the U.S., how do we keep in touch, what my husband does. He gave him back his original documents and my husband asked if he wanted to see any of the pics from my visits and our wedding. The CO said no, everything is fine. He then said that my husband should receive his visa within 2 wks. Marbrook! Five days later, the visa was in my husband's hands!!

Ahmed arrived at the Consulate sooo early they were not even opened yet. LOL He said that a line started to form quickly and there were LOTS of people there. He sat for almost 3 1/2 hours before anyone even called him. The CO was the same man that refused to give us an Affidavit of support when we tried to marry last year. Ahmed said as soon as he saw him he was immediately nervous. He had to calm himself and say a little prayer. The CO only asked him 4 questions.... How did he meet me? How long did I stay in Egypt for the wedding? Did he know my family? and How do we communicate now. My baby answered all the questions in English and asked the CO if he wanted to see any of the 200 photos he brought and see the phone bills from November of 2007 to the present. LOL The CO said that was not necessary and he believed him. He told him congratulations and that he would receive his passport in 1 week. Ahmed said he told some of the other people waiting that they would ... read complete review
