This consulate took longer to get me the Packet 3 then the USCIS took to issue NOA2. I don't know what's going on with the Cairo consulate, but they take forever on some cases, and act quickly on others. Inshalla the rest of the process will go smoothly

My fiance had his interview on May 23rd. The officer that interviewed him was not rude, but only very direct and to the point. The officer did not ask to see pictures or any proof at all of my 2nd visit to Egypt. After the interview was complete, the officer told my fiance that the interview was over, and gave him a paper with Administrative Process marked, and Passport marked. The officer also told him "We will contact you in 1-2 months" Well, that was about 5 months ago. After several inquires by email to the embassy, the lastest which came a few weeks ago stated only that "The case is still pending the officer’s final review. We will process the case to conclusion once that has been completed."
We still haven't heard anything. Over all, I can only say that the embassy's process is slow.

American side was something out of a horror movie. Didn't realize anyone could scream at a person that loud thru the glass without passing out. Personally I don't like to be yelled at BY ANYONE, let alone by my consulate in MY AMERICAN EMBASSY. I think she was having the worst bad hair day!! But she did give me my notarization for marriage. Petition interview was so nice and calm. CO was very professional, nice, asked important questions of myself and my husband. This experience re-newed my faith in the embassy until my husband had his visa interview. Well, the rest of the story is an adventure that we certainly don't want to experience again. We still have faith in our embassy and know we will be granted a visa soon. The process has been a learning experience and opened our eyes to how immigration procedures are. Until now it hasn't been the best experience but we are hoping it will be soon.

Ramy arrived at the embassy an hour early and only had to wait a couple hours for his interview. The CO was very nice and polite and only asked a few questions. She did not ask to see any evidence and when he asked what he should tell me, she said "Congratulations, you are approved, and I hope you have a beautiful wedding." She told him he would receive his passport with the visa in about 3 weeks, but it was actually issued only 8 days later!

1- we had to go to the embassy 4 times .. one was fine , 3 were worse than each others .
2- the American side is the last place on the earth you want to visit .. yes even if you are American coz me and my wife were treated the same and were given and told the same ( bullshit )
3- we had DCF , the petition interview went fine BUT this was the only time when something goes well .
4- the visa interview was a nightmare COZ ... 5
5- the AP Decision is taken previously and even before the interview in most cases .
6- the delay is unbearable and mostly it over than 6 months in most cases doesn't matter what type of visa you have applied for .. and many cases go over the year limit specially when it's 4 and 5 and 6 months and yet you are still hearing that your case hasn't been sent to the DOS for names check .
7- when you deal with Cairo embassy simply ( you are GUILTY untill you prove that you are NOT )
the WORSE PART is even when you prove s... read complete review
