On September 27th 2011 we had our interview.
They Denied the visa. No answers where given as to why. Just a white paper that said that they suspected our fiancee visa was a fraud.
When we arrived we were called promptly to pay the fees. (Be careful with Banco popular they are two payment that must me made. A lot of the bank tellers do not know this and will pretend like they do. So we did have to go and Pay the extra $15). We sat down and they called us in 45 minutes. I believe we just did not have enough pictures for them since he kept on asking for more. My fiancee was nervous and did not tell me he did not understand the thick accent the Agent had. He sent us to sit down. (Note: this window was barely visited by anybody and almost all the couples were interviewed again). After 5 hours of waiting with no answer they finally called us and did a very intrusive interview. Asked everything from where we met to our sexual history. Another hour passed by and we were called b... read complete review

Sorry it took so long for this posting. I flew into Santiago on the 16th. Relaxed with our families. On the Morning of the 18th we left La Vega at 5:30 am. We got to the consulate at 7:15 am. We immidiately got in line (Received Ticket number 120). We made it in at 7:45. At 8:15 pm we were called to window 21 at which point the gentlemen asks us if we have kids in common and if we had received the analysis from the Medical. My wife responded no because she was advised that it would be sent to the consulate. He then advised us to take a seat and that we would be called for the fingerprints. At 8:30 am we were called to window 15 for her fingerprints.

I will say that those benches were not that bad!! however sitting on them for a while will cause you some serious pain.

Anyways we waited and waited and at 11:15 am were were called back to window 22 at which we were sworn in.
The following are the questions in order:

My wife was asked her... read complete review

Our interview was on Nov 1st, at 7:30am at the US Consulate in Dominican Republic. We got there at 6am, our magic number was 162. We were called to window 17 about an hour later, all they asked for was for the Banco Popular pin. They asked us to sit down and wait for our interview. Half an hour later we were called to window 23, a very nice blond white woman conducted ur interview. She asked my husband in Spanish: Where and when we met?Where I work?Name of my parents? When was the last trip I took to see him?If we had a honeymoon and when it was?She then asked for pictures, we showed her two albums. While she was looking at the album she asker me in English:His parents names? What do I do for work? We were never seperated at any point in time during our interview. She then proceeced to look through his file and said that I was $200 short for sponsorship and that I needed to have another sponsor besides me and my mother, or if I had a bank letter that stated I had more than $200 in that a... read complete review

Sorry it is a long review...
Our interview was scheduled for Monday 11/19 at 08:30 am. We stayed at the Barcelo up the street and walked down to the conculate, the buscones were every where. We were told by someone with the 'info' shirt that we had to wait until 07:30 to get on the line. At 07:30 we got online # 4, which was moving very fast, we were given #213 and were seperated to enter. Of course the mens line was going faster and my husband was inside before me. Once inside we started looking for a seat under a fan on the famous benches. (to me the consulate was not what I expected it to be)

We waited for about 40 minutes when we saw our number flashing on the screen for window 23. A nice blonde lady asked for the docs; passport, cedula, Banco Popular receipt and the Acta de buena conducta. She asked my husband who was petitioning him, if we had children and then send us over to window 15 for fingerprints. Then again to the benches to wait.
