On September 27th 2011 we had our interview.
They Denied the visa. No answers where given as to why. Just a white paper that said that they suspected our fiancee visa was a fraud.
When we arrived we were called promptly to pay the fees. (Be careful with Banco popular they are two payment that must me made. A lot of the bank tellers do not know this and will pretend like they do. So we did have to go and Pay the extra $15). We sat down and they called us in 45 minutes. I believe we just did not have enough pictures for them since he kept on asking for more. My fiancee was nervous and did not tell me he did not understand the thick accent the Agent had. He sent us to sit down. (Note: this window was barely visited by anybody and almost all the couples were interviewed again). After 5 hours of waiting with no answer they finally called us and did a very intrusive interview. Asked everything from where we met to our sexual history. Another hour passed by and we were called back by the agent and told that we would receive a final answer in 30 day. B.S. We never received anything, and no information was available when I would call (By the way you have to pay to speak to these non informative individuals). No answer was ever given.
I decided to stay in Dominican Republic with my fiancee and worked there for a year. My fiancee could not believe that such an organized country like the us could not provide us with a concrete answer, which is one of the reasons we did not marry right away. (Big mistake).
I just received a letter stating that our case had Expired. So I will be going to DR to get married this week. I recommend that if you are not given a YES answer then to marry and cancel you K1 Fiancee visa and reapply so not to waste time. I did consult a lawyer. DR is tough on Fiancee visas and It is best to just simply marry out there. Any question just let me know. I will be posting my new petition soon.
