Had an overall good experience. I chipped my ankle bone a few days before my trip and appointment at the embassy. So I went to the Dominican Republic with crutches and my leg wrapped up.
My appointment was at 7 am. When I arrived at 6 there were a lot of people ahead. A nice officer got me a wheelchair and moved me the front of the line. We were given a number and asked to stand in front of a window so we can give my fiancé’s passport and birth certificate. Once we did that we had to sit down and wait to be called after like 15 mins, they called us. 2 ladies were there it seemed like one was training the other. They asked what language would we like the interview to be done and I side Spanish. She asked a lot of questions give our take. They asked the following:
- what are your names
- how old are we
To my boyfriend - how did we meet?, how did I live with?, how old is my son and if he had meet him. What do we do for fun, do you have kids ... read complete review

Interview was really easy, I arrived at 5 am to the embassy and there was already plenty of people waiting in line, I was scheduled for 7:00 am, around 6:50 they staring let us get in and go through security and then to a window to deposit the required documents they didnt ask me for the affidavit of support seems this embassy doesn't require it, after dropping the documents I was told to go and sit next to a window and wait for the CO to call me, I didnt wait for a long time just like 10 minutes, after he called me the interview didnt event last 5 minutes he just asked me how did we meet, what do I do for a living where I'm going to be living after I gave him the name of the city he asked if that's near Washington I confirmed and he asked again where do I work and then approved me.

I called/emailed support-online & embassy, which said to keep trying. When booking your interview (what they don't tell you is) when you log on to http://ustraveldocs.com/do ON THE LEFT YOU SHOULD SEE *FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT IS (DATE). That means appointments are available and ONLY THEN, you can book VAC and Interview date. If that doesn't pop up... you will THINK you can book the VAC appointments, which will pop up but you will get a message saying the appointment isn't available.
If there was a warning about it on the site, I believe people wouldn't be so anxious and call in so much. It literally is a first come first serve but they do have appointments available. REMEMBER! ON THE LEFT YOU SHOULD SEE *FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT IS (DATE). If you see it, you are able to book VAC and INTERVIEW. Good luck and congratulations!!
