We woke up at 3:10am. Took a shower and were out the house by 3:45am. We drove down from Moca which is about 30 minutes from Santiago. We arrived at the Consulate at 6:30am. Upon arriving there were many buscones but of course we just ignored them. When you first arrive there are four lines you may enter. My husband and I were not sure which line to enter so he asked an officer there but they were very rude. They completely ignored him. I wanted to punch them in the face but I let it go. So we just asked around until we finally got in the right line, which was line 4. Since our appointment wasn’t until 830 they said we were not allowed in until 8am, so we just walked down to the gas station in the corner and got something to eat. (I met our fellow member Jolusa and her husband there). At around 7:50am we got back into the line. A man with info on the back of his shirt took our interview letter and gave us number 257. They separated men and woman and let mother’s go in with their ... read complete review

Arrived at the embasy at about 4:48 am. The buscones came all running at once toward us trying to get money from us saying that the 2x2 picture needs to be stapled to the DS-230 and if we didnt our case would not be approved and they could do it for 1,000 pesos..lol. I let them know that we were ok with our stuff. We were like the 5th couple in line. Around 6:15 the people with the word INFO on their shirts came out asking for our interview letters and handing out ticket numbers. We got the infamous # 667. They seperated the females and the male for security check in. There was a lady that cut in front of me while we were outside saying that her husband was inside already and I told her she had cut in front of me and my husband was 4 places in front of her husband...but she just ignored me which aggrivated me very much. We were in by 6:45ish. We get called to window 23 to deposit our documents and there was the girl who cut infront of me...she did it again!!! Luckily my hubby calmed m... read complete review

Well first of all! I hate the Capitol!! anyways back to the review
We woke up at 5am, (stayed at Jardines Del Teatro) by the way we had a very very comfortable bed!! room 113! lol javascript:emoticon(' '), i double checked all my documents before leaving the U.S and Before leaving the hotel early that morning.
At Arrival to the Consulate, it wasn't a big line at the time, Probably cause Dominicans are always late to everything but we got in by 6:50am, consulate staff (INFO) gave us Number #24.After going thru the metal detectors i waited for my fiancee because girls take longer due to all their purses and etc.
We were told (K-1 Visas)to sit by the cafeteria, at first the benches were ok but after sitting for hours!! them shyts got annoying and very uncomfortable and frustrating javascript:emoticon(' ')! lol. It was 7:45am and we still haven't been called javascript:emoticon(' ', i was getting despe... read complete review

Long review but here it is!
My fiance lives only about 20 minutes driving from the consulate so we decided to drive there in the morning. My poor baby didnt get any sleep because at 2 in the morning he had to take his sister to the airport, by the time he got back from the airport it was 5 in the morning so now we are in a rush to get ready and make it on time to the consulate. After getting his daughter, and myself ready, we were out of the door by 545 and made it there around 605. As soon as we arrived close the consulate, the buscones started telling us where to park, but they guided us to park in front of some houses, we got scared the car will be towed so we paid $200 pesos to a buscon and we parked in a parking lot that belongs to a small clinic. As soon as we parked, there was a couple next to us, who only had one yellow folder. I saw them in the yellow bus (buscones office) for a pretty long time. seems they were not prepared. The night before my fiance c... read complete review

I'm not one for sharing much, but since I found so much help in this website I knew I had to post my experience in case that it could help somebody else. We were approved!
It might be a bit long because I relate a bit about DCF process, Medical Exam experience, and the Interview.
We filed for DCF (Direct Consular Filing). It was hard to figure out wether it was possible to do it or not until my husband asked on http://Dominicanstotheusa.com.
So the first step was to call USCIS (809-221-2171 ext. 6608) Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. To 11 a.m. to make an appointment to take the required documents to file the I-130 properly. Note: One thing we learned is that having the necessary documents will save you time and headaches. We started calling this number.
The Info people outside will most likely have no idea what DCF is so you'll need to educate them which means going there and asking them wil... read complete review
