Well first of all! I hate the Capitol!! anyways back to the review
We woke up at 5am, (stayed at Jardines Del Teatro) by the way we had a very very comfortable bed!! room 113! lol javascript:emoticon(''), i double checked all my documents before leaving the U.S and Before leaving the hotel early that morning.

At Arrival to the Consulate, it wasn't a big line at the time, Probably cause Dominicans are always late to everything but we got in by 6:50am, consulate staff (INFO) gave us Number #24.After going thru the metal detectors i waited for my fiancee because girls take longer due to all their purses and etc.

We were told (K-1 Visas)to sit by the cafeteria, at first the benches were ok but after sitting for hours!! them shyts got annoying and very uncomfortable and frustrating javascript:emoticon('')! lol. It was 7:45am and we still haven't been called javascript:emoticon('', i was getting desperate!!!.

At 8:05am #24 was called to window 19, the lady was very nice and understandable, we handed our DS Forms as well as the police certificate, I.D., Passport, medical exams records and inextensa birth certificate. then we were told to pay the Visa Fee (Which i thought it was going to be $210 but it was just $80) to window 15 and then return back to window 19 to give her the receipt.

At 9:05am we were called to window 13, at arrival my fiancee was taken her finger prints. Then we sat back down and waited and waited and waited and waited inside this hot as consulate with Fans that are useless and benches that are uncomfortable after sitting on them for hours. we went to the cafeteria and bought some tostadas and juices because the wait was dragging us to the floor!!

After watching numbers being called to window 11, my heart was dropping just thinking about our number being called to window 11 (the fraud and investigation room).

Me and my fiancee had already talked about certain questions that they might ask us before i went to the Dominican Rep so we didnt really practice much wen we were together, we were just enjoying the time we had to our selves and payed no mind to the CITA until like Tuesday afternoon lol wen we checked in at the hotel. we are from Santiago so we had a nice drive while heading to the capitol, in which i repeat i hate with a passion! lol traffic traffic traffic all over the place!!!! We were saved because we had our own personal guide that showed us were to go and how to get around (A Friend of the family!)

So back to the topic lol, at 11:32am we called to window 19 again. this time it was a gringo. (My fiancee was praying that a male consul would take our case because males have more heart than females lol)

The First thing i saw as i arrived to window 19 was the green ticket on top of the forms (which means thats the ticket to pay at the domex, meaning we were getting approved), and the first thing he saw was me putting a big and heavy loaded portfolio on the counter meaning i was ready for business lol, The consul asked us how we met: i answered and told him the whole story while my fiancee signed the DS form that he asked her to sign. He then asked wat were the plans for the wedding: and i let her answer lol (mind u she did an error while signing the form lol the nerves were killing her inside),so while she was fixing her error, the consul asked me if i stay alot in Monte Cristi when i visit: and i told him i enjoy staying away from the city as much as i can because i live in NY and work in Manhattan, im tired of traffic and crazy people lol so yea i stay alot in Monte Cristi (My Fiancee's home town)more like a country town (very relaxing)javascript:emoticon(''), me and the consul were talking like if we known each other for years lol talking Spanglish and telling him my lifestyle in the Big Apple (NY) lol,he asked wat type of wedding would we be having and my fiancee told him that we having a civil wedding and a family get together,i told him that NY is no joke and we need save as much money as possible, he laughed and agreed with my reply lol, he asked for pictures but i don't think it mattered because he skimmed through the pictures like if he was in a hurry lol

He then said the words that made the crazy stressful and uncomfortable hours spent at the consulate be erased like it never happened! lol Voy a Aprovar Su Visa!javascript:emoticon('') we hugged and kissed and had a huge smile walking to the DOMEX loljavascript:emoticon('') everybody sitting there saw our smile a mile away lol, i payed the $12.50 at the DOMEX and was told to pick it up at the DOMEX in Santiago in around 7 days.

We ran out of there with Joy and excitement!! want to thank VJ friends for helping me with this!! and for all the Consulate reviews i have seen and read! Step 1 is out of the way, now POE and AOS!! javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')
