My wife showed up at 7:00 for her 8:30 apointment. She went directly to line #3. There were only 3 other women in this line. So they all waited for a bit (became friends with each other) until they were called in. She went to the first window to get her paperwork. The woman behind the window said, "Wow, whoever organized these did a great job. They are rarely this organized!" (that would be me, with the help of VJ of course javascript:emoticon(' ') )So then she had to wait around an hour or so until they called her name. Then she went to the interview window. The man said, "So, you have a friend in the US that wants you to come over?" My wife said, "No, my husband wants me to come over." He smiled, then asked her how we met, and then asked her how we communicate because she doesn't speak English. She explained that I lived in Peru for a year and a half and speak Spanish. He then asked what my father's name was. Then she said he put on a serious, almost angry face ... read complete review

Well, we went to the medical exam on the 13th two days prior to the interview, went pretty much as everyone said it would. the fee"s were exactly as stated and the vacinations needed werent as bad as i thought. all in all my wife stated that dr. Roa was efficient and profesional. results from the medical exam were given to us in sealed envelopes, for both my wife and stepson.
on the 15th we woke early eager to start the day, left the hotel at about 5:45 and walked to the embassy, as our hotel was about a 1/4 mile away it wasnt far. however we did have a little bit of a difficult time finding the right gate to enter, so for anyone going to their interview look for the gate on the side of the embassy with the 4 round signs with numbers on them. and line up in front of number 3.
at about 6:45 they started coming outside and looking at our interview letters, gave us green dots, and asked us to enter through security. pretty much the same as in a air... read complete review

It was great! They asked very few things, I guess because of the super complete file my fiance sent.

Interview was very smooth. Despite the long line for other types of Visa, the K-1 only had about 3 other people in it. It took a while for them to be processed after passing through security. Initially went to window #5, where we delivered the paperwork. That portion took about 5 minutes. We then waited until being called for the "interview". The interview consisted of the following. "What is your name?" "Where are you going to live?" "Is everything true in this packet?" It was then approved and we were out of there. The embassy staff was very professional and courteous.
