The appointment was scheduled for 9 AM, but we arrived at 6:50, and we were attended to right away. A man in front of us was turned away at the first checkpoint for not having his medical exam results.
We passed through the pre-interview and interview quickly. The questions were all simple and easy. She spoke to me on the phone to clarify something on the I-864. Evidence was never requested, and she never looked at the new police certificate, nor the marriage certificate. They asked for copies of my joint sponsor's birth certificate and passport, which I didn't have. She said that it was no problem, to email it. She handed us the 221g form indicating where to send the documents and said that the visa would be at DHL in about two weeks. Then, she gave him the domestic violence packet and explained it. She never said the word 'accepted' or 'welcome to the US', but it was okay, and we got the visa fairly quickly, less than two weeks. Best wishes to all going thr... read complete review

We had our interview this morning at the Bogota Consulate. We were approved! And first I would like to say thank you so so much to the VJ community, because none of this would have even been possible without the help of so many members!
Our interview was scheduled for 8am. We arrived at 7:15 and they let K applicants enter early. We were called up to a window for a pre-interview. We turned in our paperwork, my fiance was asked a few basic questions and then we were told to sit back down. We waited about 20 minutes and were called up to a window for the interview.
They asked the following questions:
What is your name?
Who is this? (pointing at me)
Have you been married before?
Have to been arrested in Colombia or the USA before?
When is the wedding? Why did you choose that date?
How did you meet?
They did not ask for additional evidence, we never had to present it. They had our evidence pictures from the I-1... read complete review

Everything was Ok....
We entered the embassy about 7:30 AM with an 8:00 AM appointment. There is a person who check the documents at the entrance; then we waited about 10 minutes and a lady interviewed my fiancee. That lady did not ask me anything, and she just asked basic questions. After that we waited for the consul interview like half an hour, the consul also asked basic questions like how did you meet each other, if I had brothers and sisters, and asked who I was because I was standing beside her. They did not ask me any question. All personnel at the consulate are nice, and they did not try to make it hard. I went with a bunch of proof to show them bona fide relationship; but he did not ask me for any proof. They only asked if all the information was true and told her your passport will be ready in a week.
Nice expericence

We (my daughter and I ) arrived in Bogota on monday night, the next day we had laboratories early in the morning and medical examination with Dr Dennis in the afternoon, he gave us the results after a couple of hours.
Interview was on thursday, we arrived at 8:30am, handed the documents listed in the package of instructions to a Colombian lady (a bit rude) who asked us to wait to be called. After a 4hrs wait finally the consul (young man) called us for a quick interview, here are the questions:
-Who's the petitioner?
- Where and when did you met him?
- Have you ever been married, convicted or visited the US?
-Tell me about your wedding plans.
He typed in the computer for a minute then said welcome to the US, your visa has been approved, your passport will arrive to the consular section in Medellin in a couple of weeks and handed me a pamphlet about domestic violence.
Recommendations:
-Eat well before your interview (You don't know... read complete review
