My fiance arrived at the U.A embassy at 730am, his interview was set for 8am, he was asked for the documents upon the first call, then waited an hour and he was called in for the interview, he was asked for his fiance name, date of birth, how old is she, where she lives, and then my fiance got confused and didn't take his police certificate from when he lived in new Zealand, the consul asked him to send it to him by email before noonoon and that he will get approved. My fiance kindly asked to expedite his visa because of work related trip he needed to Make by the following week. The consul very nicely told him to pick up his password in 6 days, once my fiance left the embassy he found the certificate in his email and sent it, 30 minutes later he received and email saying his visa was approved.
Today almost a week later he picked up his passport, visa ready to go!!!=)

Had our interview this morning. Colombia is a great place to do this process. Though the effort up to the actual interview is a bit crazy. Traffic in Bogota is insane, and getting around is crazy.
We arrived on Saturday 10/31 and had our TB appointment.
Monday was the medical tests.
Tuesday was the medical exam
Wednesday was the biometrics
Thursday was a pick up day for picking up results and getting information
Friday morning was the interview.
We arrived around 7:30 handed in our documents around 7:45. Interesting thing about the document hand in was that the woman behind the window asked for each document. This allowed her to put together a packet that was in the exact order the staff wanted. Pretty efficient actually, I was impressed.
Waited to be called up. I spent the time amusing her son, while she sat and worried. He called her up around 8:30 asked her four que... read complete review

Interview went smoothly, embassy staff is really nice and helpful and the consul conducting our interview was very professional. Our appointment was scheduled for 9 AM but my fiance, my daughter and me arrived a little early, cellphones are allowed but other gadgets like tablets aren't. we were directed to a window where our documents were reviewed and we were asked a couple questions, this person kept our documents and passports and told us to go and sit in front of row number 2. About an hour and 30 minutes passed until my name was called, the audio system is not very good and the consuls have a hard time reading Spanish names and last names so you really need to pay attention. Once at the window the consul asked the following questions:
- Who is petitioning for you and your daughter?
- What does your fiance do for a living?
- Where does your fiance live?
- Have you ever been to the US?
- Have you ever been out of Colombia?
- Have you or you... read complete review

My wife's medical appointment was three days ago, and her interview at the Bogota embassy was yesterday.
For the medical, we went to Dr. Roa, and while I was worried because of the rumors I had heard, everything went fine for us. My wife recently gave birth, and had a lot of vaccines because of that, so the doctor only had her take two vaccines, the flu one and the triple anti-viral one. The appointment itself was pretty quick. I think accompanying her helped a lot, though I can't be sure.
As far as the interview, we overprepared. I brought everything the NVC asked for, lots of pictures and chats, and a whole lot of other documents, including copies of everything we had sent to the NVC. I brought stuff that I saw mentioned being asked for from these consulate reviews, like a copy of the joint sponsor's birth certificate. I had a good half-foot of documents, easy, and lugged it to the interview. We went to the first window, and the woman spoke to my wife a... read complete review
