Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancee had a 730 appointment. Outside there is always chaos with the lines, the guards will tell you one thing and later the lady on the microphone will tell you another thing and eventually they will let you in.

She waited about 3 hours total which including visiting a counter and waiting and later being asked a few questions like my birth date, my name, how many times ive been to colombia, when was the last time we saw each other.

She was approved on spot and told visa would arrive in 1-2 weeks.

*Note we called all the medical doctors in Bogota none will give vaccinations and fill out DS3025. My fiancee had no record of vaccination and the doctors say vaccinations are not required for K1 and that you will get them in the US. That works for me because my insurance happens to give my wife free vaccinations here in the states but just an FYI. We used DR monica in the email for the appt they clearly outline that no vaccination will be appl... read complete review

Very pleasant experience. I couldn't be there with my fiance because I am working at a new job in the states, but he said that the consular officer was a very friendly guy. No tricks or difficult questions. He just reviewed the documents and asked about our travels together when looking through our photos. He asked my fiance simple questions about me, like my name, where I live, etc. The whole process took about 2.5-3 hours. He can pick up his visa in 2 weeks. We are so happy!!

Review Topic: K1 Visa

We had a 9am appointment, we left the hotel early but a car accident slowed us down but we arrived at 830. We were sent passed the tourist visa line and were given a small piece of paper to organize all of our documents in a particular order. Please note that the order is different than we learned online. Its not a huge difference but dont just assume the order and ensure you have 2 photos with name marked on the back of each. We then went to the next station where we were checked off a list of the fiancee and k2 child beneficiary. WE got a number (32) and waited to visit a pre-interview (920 am)window where the documents are ensured that they are in the required order, answer a few minor questions. Forms and documents returned to us and sent to the interview row of green windows (we had number 3). We waited about 45 min to an hour more until they called us. Professional young Counselor Officer. Reviewed the docs, a couple of times, entered some info into computer, and asked following ... read complete review

I had my interview on June 13th my appointment was at 7:30 I arrived to the embassy at 6:30 I was the second person on the line for residence and K1 visa.

I had to organize my documents in certain order then get into one counter where a not so friendly girl look at them and prepare everything to see the consul.
Then I wait till like 8am for them to start calling to the interviews. I got a young and very educated consul, he asked me tons of questions and repeat them a few times, I was starting to get nervous, then he set his mic off and look at all the documents, he check everything including the pictures and the evidence. After a couple minutes he came back and said your visa has been approved wait for it in the next 10-15 days.
