We were approved!! My fiancé said it went smoothly. He arrived a little before his 7am appointment. They let him in at 6:45am. He called me by 8:50am to say he was out and we had been approved for our K1 Visa.

Super friendly lady who asked me random questions about me and my fiancee. Took about 30 minutes. Nothing worth nothing aside from the fact that she did not request any of the new documents/proof I had brought with me.

My interview was scheduled for July 5th, 2017 at the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. The visa interview was for the K1 Fiance Visa. I am writing this review as the U.S. (male) Petitioner for my fiance the Colombian (female) beneficiary.
Here is my review......
Our interview appointment time was 7am in the morning. If you can I suggest you take the 7am interview time instead of 9am because of Bogota traffic. We wanted to take no chances, considering Bogota traffic can be horrendous, so we arrived early. There was virtually no traffic when we traveled because we left so early. We arrived an hour early at about 6am. This was wayyy too early. The embassy doesn't allow anyone inside this early. They don't even allow people to start a line outside the visa applicant entrance. Instead everyone who arrives early is to stand across the street, on the corner of Carrera 50 and Calle 24 Bis . It's a dirt area and you'll probably see a mass of people standi... read complete review

My interview was easier than I expected. I was the first person this consul interviewed that day, since I scheduled my interview at the first time in the morning. The consul was a woman. She asked the basic stuff (in spanish) like who was my petitioner, where does he live, and if we had previous marriages, and how we met. As soon as I told her how we met, she asked me if being an aupair I studied english, to which i replied yes, and then the rest of the interview was in english, which made me feel as comfortable as I felt before. She asked me some things about my aupair experience, my longest stay in the US besides being an aupair, what my fiancé does for a living, when was the last time I saw him, if I had lived in another countries besides the US and Colombia, if I had any criminal records. At the end she told me my visa was approved and she gave the a piece of paper with my rights. She said I needed to be careful when I get into the US to make sure i get admitted with the K1 visa... read complete review

My fiance had his interview appointment at 7:30am . I went with him. We arrived the the consulate at around 6:10am in order to beat the traffic that we were told occurs around the morning time. We waited outside on the corner because I guess they don't allow folks to form a line before 7am. We rented a chair to sit until we heard an announcement at like 6:55 saying that anyone applying for K1 or residency visa can enter "sin importar hora de cita" so we tried entering again and the same guard told us that we couldn't enter until our appointment time which was contradicting because the speakers were sayiing something different.
The man told us to wait until come "chicas en chalecos azules" came out to call us, however, they don't really leave the entrance to look for people so my fiance and tried to enter again and this time we did see some girls in blue vests and asked for my fiances passport and asked who I was. They allowed us to enter and we walked this passage outsid... read complete review
