My fiancé told me about his experience, so I'll summarize it for you!
1) They collected some of his documentation before his appointment.
3) he signed another letter stating his intent to marry me within 90 days of entering the USA.
2) He waited in line for over an hour as he watched other people (families) go in for their long interviews.
3) His actual interview was pretty fast. The woman was an American who spoke Spanish to my fiancé the entire time. She was very serious and asked him questions such as: "What is your fiancée's name?" "How did you meet?" "Does she speak Spanish? How do you communicate?" "How often do you communicate?" "How many times have you seen each other in person?" She also asked if he had any trouble with the law. And she asked for some documents including the affidavit of support which I had prepared and given to him. She flipped through them quickly and kept them. Then she told him we were approved and he could pick up his ... read complete review

Everything went very smooth. The interviewer asked the usual questions, asked to see additional photos, actually looked through the phone and swiped through photos. Also asked about our age difference. She was satisfied with all of the answers. She was very friendly and wished us well.

Arrived to the embassy very early at 6AM but like others posted, they will not start taking people until 6:45ish. While 6:45 AM comes, you have to wait outside across the street to the south (big barren sidewalk). Then at 6:45 AM through a very good PA system they call people, Immigrant visas (family based, fiance, refugee) to line 3 and non-immigrant (tourism, student, work) to line 1. They mentioned on the PA that they would take all immigrant visa applicants regardless of their appointment time, therefore it pays to go early if you wish; while non-immigrants would have to be strictly at their appointment times.

Once on the line 3, a girl comes asking for your passport, two photos with your full name on the back, police certificate, birth certificate and medical exams. She reviews it, scratches you from the list, places a green sticker on you and your passport and asks you to go ahead to security. At the security point, they only asked me to put on the tray cellphone, ... read complete review

My fiancee, myself, and her young daughter attended her interview together. We arrived about 20 minutes early (her interview was scheduled for 9 a.m.). Upon arrival, we were shown to some tables under a tent that had on it a list of documents to prepare before entering. From memory, I believe the documents included passports, DS-160 confirmation pages, passport-style photos, birth certificates for my fiancee and her daughter, the sealed medical exam folders, financial support affidavit, and my fiancee's police report. The woman at the table helped us put everything in order, then sent us on to a small security building. After going through security, then we entered the main building/area.

After entering the main area, we were directed to another table. There, a woman checked us in and went through the prepared documents again. We then waited for a few minutes until a window was available for the pre-interview (as I saw it called on an earlier review). When we wer... read complete review
