Interview 07/31/2024

Medical Exam Labs and Embassy Package - Highly recommend Dr. Jairo H. Roa’s office. Very efficient, very professional, very patient friendly, comfortable environment.

ASC - Location for biometrics are in the courtyard between G4 and G5. Very organized and we were in and out in ~20 minutes.

It has been said a few times but want to stress…..IF YOU ARE DIVORCED OR A WIDOW OR WIDOWER YOU MUST BRING ORIGINAL PRINTED(HARD COPY)DIVORCE DECREES OR DEATH CERTIFICATE. THEY WANT TO FEEL THE RAISED SEAL AND FEEL THE PAPER. Does not matter if your are Colombian(Beneficiary) or American(Sponsor). Same thing about the Colombian Birth Certificate, must be the original, stamped by the notary and translated. We had the birth Certificate, had it translated, but it did not have the seal and thus was rejected.

General observation was if you were able to get the window before 11-11:30am after the initial intake, mos... read complete review

We showed up 6am at the corner of embassy. Appt was for 7am but it doesnt matter we were there until 11am. Theres no order or reason how they call people up.

They asked how did you meet? How many times did he visit you? How many days each time? Show me pictures of relationship which we had plenty of them. Those were only questions.

We had 221g yellow sheet because my previous divorce paper wasnt the official stamped copy. Hac
Ve to send it in to the fingerprint asc office and should be resolved in 3 weeks. Consular said its approved pending this one document. Overall great experience.

Some people were denied due to not having relationship evidence etc. Half of the k1 visas had 221g slips given to them.

Interview fairly quick please make sure to bring original divorce decree with you for all you divorced people don't even make copies of it so if you have original mail it too Colombia or bring it with you they want to feel and see the raised edges on the stamp or if it isn't a raised edges they want to see the ink bleed right through on that stamp.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

We applied for a K1 visa for my fiancée and K2 for her 3 year old daughter.

The first appointment for ACS was Thursday at 8:00 am. Our hotel recommended we leave more than an hour in advance which turned out to be unnecessary and we got there way too early around 7:00 am. The ACS (Centro de Atención al Solicitante) was very easy to find, on the ground level of an outdoor office complex. Even though we were there early they let my fiancée in around 7:30 am. After waiting there it seemed like they let people in about an hour in advance of their appointment. I asked if I could go in with them as the petitioner but was told no.

The only documents necessary were passports, 2 passport photos and the confirmation page of the DS-160 form. No need to bring all of the other documents for the interview.

Right after 8:00 am my fiancée walked out because they rejected her daughter's passport photos because her bangs were covering her eyebrows. Conven... read complete review
