On June 1, 2009 I attended both American Citizen Hour(ACH) and American Citizen Services(ACS)in order to get a couple of questions about our case answered and also to have an updated Evolution of Relationship letter notorized. In each case I encountered VOs who were both courteous and professional which left a good impression on me.
The next day my fiancee had her visa interview in which she was asked 6 questions and to show photos of us together. She also reported that the VO who conducted her interview was very courteous and professional to her the entire time. All in all we both had a favorable experience with the Consulate.

[Oct. 2008] It was a large space and I could see and hear the applicants that went before me. So you can tell which interviewers are passing the most applicants. I was very nervous because one of the interviewers had been rejecting a lot of applicants. I was afraid I would get him and sure enough, I did. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, as I did pass. He asked me five questions and then asked to see our photos, and my passport.
The questions were, Where did my fiance and I meet?, Where did he go to school?, In what town in America was his school located?, What were the jobs of his parents?, [we're young] and where does he live?. Just things I should know anyway if our relationship is real.
I was very organized [my american fiance helped me]and had a clear see-through folder for each topic. Each folder had an index page that showed exactly what was in it. The folders were:

Interview was at 7:15 am. Dan arrived around 7 am and stood in a long line until 8:30 when they finally opened the gates to go inside. Once inside, some more waiting and fingerprinting until she was called to her interview. The officer complimented her on her English and asked her about my income, my job title and place of work, and the number of times I had come to visit her and the duration of the visits. She showed him a few pictures of us together and a letter I had written in support of our union. She was approved for the visa in about 2 minutes of interview time.
Overall, a very pleasant situation that was only offset by the long waiting

VO:how did you meet your husband?
Me: I met my husband on a website called Asianpromise.
I put our photo albums in front of the window, VO noticed and asked: can I have a look of your pictures, please?
Me: Sure! We had been to many beautiful cities in China and took a lot of beautiful pictures!
I handed in a handmate photo album, which was a birthday gift for my hubby’s last birthday, and introduced to the VO: this is what I made for my husband’s birthday last year.
He read the words on the b-day photo album for a while, then I gave him another 4 photo albums. he stopped at a picture, I told him: that is fairyland Guilin. We took a hiking by the Li river. Fantastic scenery, isn’t it? VO nodded and smiled. And then he stopped at a picture where we drawn our hands and wrote our love anounment on the note book, I introduced : that is our marriage vow written on a notebook at a cafe of yangshuo.
