My wife was interviewed for no longer then about 5 minutes by a man she said had a somewhat "mean" disposition. Only asked her about 3 questions, then tried to intimidate her by asking some questions in English. She has very limited English skills, even though I do not have too much trouble communicating with her. Visa was rejected due to what they say is not a "bona fide" relationship.
We have been married for a year now. We have the government issued marriage certificate and I've visited her 3 times now. It appears they made their decision even before interviewing my wife. Now we will go the CR1 route and try again. Hopefully she will be interviewed by another consulate agent who is competent. One can only hope.

Everything went very smoothly. The staff at ACH was very professional and patient. Hubby said that the VO was very nice and understanding.

She passed. Make sure you are very prepared and have everything. My fiancee said quite a few people were getting white. I'm guessing that's because they didn't read visajourney.com and candleforlove.com.
Since we were prepared (though not as much as most people here), my fiancee said the interview wasn't too difficult.
She took it in English by the way (simple English according to her).
Oh and the coffee bar in the waiting area (the only place you can sit) is the biggest rip-off ever. But I guess, what can you do?
I definitely recommend being there for him or her if you can.

Hello VJ members,
I have never posted here before but today I thought I would give it a try. I have been hanging around this site since late May of this year, but didn't become a member until June. I have learned so much from this site. I can't begin to thank the person who decided to come up with such a wonderful web-site. I have kept to myself and just learned everything I can from the wonderful people here.
Well as you can see from my timeline my SO has her interview Guangzhou today . I am on pins and needles right now !!! Unfortunately was unable to be there with her today, but I'm there in spirit and in her heart. Caixia is such a wonderful and surprisingly strong woman. I rushed home from work today so I could talk to her before she left the hotel (7am her time this morning)
She was so positive and confident before she left. And I have been an absolute mess every since then. Her hotel is right there in the same building as the consula... read complete review
