I could not attend the interview because of a work conference in US that could not be rescheduled. I flew to Dalian to help Yanan obtain the final documents and the heath examination/vaccinations in Beijing the week before the interview and had to fly back four days before the interview date. My fiancé Yanan arrived at the Guangzhou Consultant office early at 5:30 AM on the interview day and was the 7th person in line. Most of the people arrived about 6 AM. When the doors opened, there were about 180 plus waiting and only about 30 were the k-1, k-3, CR-1 Visa interviews. The majority were for tourist, student, business, and family visas. When the doors were open they check everyone’s passports, then she walked to the 5th floor where she gave them the all the required documents (passport, K-156, K-157, I-230, and I-134, medical records, my four years of 1040 tax returns, bank statements, etc.) All cell phone, cameras, shoes or any devices had to be scanned like that screenin... read complete review

(Heard second hand from Vivian)
2 hour wait and 2 minute interview. Vivian told me they glanced at her pics but did not ask for anything else.
Couple of questions about how we met and how many times. I have been there more than 10 times and she was to USA 3 times. The interviewer seemed confused and probably thought I lived there based on questions. Vivian had to remind the interviewer that I lived in USA.
Anyway, accepted.

They put our case into Administrative Review because they wanted a résumé for some odd reason. I don't see why it's pertinent, but we provided it and the case was approved. I understand that the interviewing agent can't tell you much, but his attitude could have been better.

Wow, worry, worry, worry, for nothing. We had everything, skype records, email, phone, financial, many photos over the entire period of our relationship. I wrote a letter for myself, and sent it as a supporting document. We have been sweating this for almost a year, and when she went in, it was so straight forward, and the man was very good, it went very easily. I think that they look very heavily at how many times you have come to China, and wether or not you are at the interview with your fiance, and then compare it to the photos. The man didn't even look at anything but the financial documents. I was very worried about her English, but with out even asking, he conducted the interview in Chinese, and asked just the basic questions, what is your fiances name, how did you meet, and a couple other easy ones. Like I said, I really think that they go by intuition, and how many times you go to China. We are so happy, and are looking forward to being together forever. The only thing that I ... read complete review
