Our time in Guangzhou went very well and we came away with the coveted pink slip. My fiancee turned in documents on Monday Feb 28th before her interview on the 1st. She said many of the officers in there (not the Americans but other nationals collecting documents) were extremely rude. That was not only her own assessment but that of some of the other new friends she met who were interviewing with her. She was worried that she may have turned in the wrong docs or not enough because the lady who was taking them made her pretty flustered. They ended up taking the forms (DS, GNI-2) and the official "letter of intent and capacity to marry", the I-134s (mine and co-sponsor's) and tax records from previous 3 years. They also took a letter from my employer but my fiancee thinks they didn't ask for it but it stuck to one of the other pages and went along with. I attached a letter from my co-sponsor to his I-134 so that went in there too. They probably wouldn't have taken it if they knew... read complete review

The whole Guangzhou experience, she give them a 4 out 5
She arrived at the consulate about 7AM, about 725AM the line start to move.
the interview start 830AM.
5 windows- 4 male and 1 female
the female is the hardest to get pink according to my fiancee.
a young male VO interview my fiancee, very nice, smile during the whole interview, oh, he speaks Chinese. after the interview, he even tell my fiancee to bring more winter clothing because Minnesota is cold.
all the chat log, all the emails, bank statement, employer letter, and all the phone records, not even a look.
VO ask a lot of Questions from all the forms you turn in the day b4 the interview.
here's the Questions, VO asked:
When did petitioner move to the US?
How do we meet?(answered then hand in some pics we took when we were in high school, then VO asked if we were high school sweet heart?)

The interview went very well for my K-3 spouse and K-4 step-daughter.

They were the last interviews for the day and I waited in the Consulate coffee shop for over 4 anxious hours. The interview was brief, maybe less than 5 minutes total. The male VO looked at my financials, which I had in a separate 1" binder, and then he scanned through a 1" binder with 8x10 color photos of us together in China. He told my wife "your husband did a very good job on all the paperwork!" Note: I had completely front-loaded all of my case files for both the I-129 and the I-130; including lots of large photos from each of my 7 visits to her in China.

My opinion is that since the inception of IMBRA, if you have a clean background; you have become involved with a foreign national who also has a clean background; you are not a Federal tax avoider/cheat; have a good/stable income; submit a COMPLETE and accurate case file, for both USCIS and the DOS to adjudicate; and demonstrate... read complete review

There are 6 windows opened that day. I personally really believe they already reviewed your file before the interview and the consulate let the Chinese staff did the initial judgment at the day before the interview you submit your documents.
I was been called at the very late, around 12. So I had the chance to see how all of the VO works and can hear a little bit when they question. Around 70% people can get PINK. The VO didn¡¯t try to give anyone a hard time. I think everyone¡¯s job there is to provide the VO your bona-fide relationship and take all of the things you have to proof that, even the VO maybe don¡¯t ask for anything.
My interview just last 2 mins and the VO just ask to see the consular report of birth abroad and US passport of our baby, nothing else. The VO asked me the following questions and it most like that he just want confirms some information to enter the computer:
1. How do you know your husband?
--- When the time I traveled to US... read complete review
