This was posted elsewhere with help from a friend, but I'm just putting it under my name.
----------------
IR-1/CR-1 Immigration Visa Forms and Process Notes:
As of 05/30/2011 (for forms)
Preface/Philosophy:
-The idea is to make it as easy as possible for the poor sap reading these forms to get through the form without stopping.
-Latest forms were always obtained online at USCIS.
-No forms were used from packets.
(Either because they could not be typed in or because they were expired.)
-Whenever possible, responses were typed in.
(Select: Enable Java for this document - Always.)
-Whenever possible and reasonable, a response was put.
-Signatures, signature date, and form areas after a none/no/blank/"N/A" response were generally left blank.
(Putting something in a N/A signature area did not seem like a good idea.)
-Except for using all Caps in I-864, I tried to use ... read complete review

I hope someone finds this useful as I found the other reviews very useful!
Things went just as we expected according to what my husband told me.
He arrived for his health check at the Guangzhou International Travel Clinic at 7AM. He was first in line The clinic opened at 8 and within an hour he was finished with his exam. Within 2 hours he received his results. We had called in advance and paid 200 RMB more to ensure we would get the report before 12:00. The clinic was very helpful.
Then he took a taxi to the Visa Center where he said there were probably 100 people waiting outside to hand in documents. He got in line at 12:00.
At 12:30 they started letting people in. Then he went through the required security check and then had to get a number. He waited about 2 hours until his number was called. Our only surprise of the day was that we had to pay the visa processing fee of $400. We were not aware of this because we hadn't received any ... read complete review

So now apparently GZ is giving out white for approvals now.
Everything went well at GZ during the document intake and interview, only thing is that we were always the last ones on both days. And there was a mix up at the end of the interview. The VO asked the standard questions: ( Not in order)
Where did you meet?
Has he come to visit you?
How many Times?
How did you meet?
Why is your English so good?
Do you have pictures?
Then hands her the approval letter and smiles. Then my fiancée starts to walk away and the VO calls her back and Asks “Are you a CCP?” She says no and the VO says congratulations again. And we get out of there before the VO calls her back again.
But we got approve and that’s all it matters.

Nearly had a heart attack when my wife texted me "Got white paper". Called her and she told me that it says they approved her visa!
"congratulations your visa has been approved...."
Told her to wait two weeks to mail it to her hometown. They can mail almost anywhere in China now.
Her interview was at about 11:10 so she was towards the end of the group I believe.
VO was a lady who is very very friendly.
Questions were:
Describe SO.
When did you meet?
When did you marry?
Did his family attend marriage?
Ans: No but his mom did visit.
Did husband go back to US during his 2 years in China?
Ans: Yes, went back once to US for visa
Looked at pictures, but not the other 400+ pages of docs.
VO said congratulations your visa has been approved. Gave her WHITE paper.
My wife asked, is my visa approved? Confused because she was ... read complete review
