Typical first day of turning in our paperwork... It was very hot and we got there a bit early but it was not that long of a wait. In total about 4 hours the first day. The interview day dawned rainy and we decided to show up closer to the actual opening time. Still very crowded. To me it seemed like organized chaos but everyone got inside in about 30 minutes (K-1 visas near the end of the line). My fiancée was asked the following questions (in English which she chose):

Are you CCP?
Who is your petitioner?
Have you been to the US?
Which countries have you been to?
What for?
Is this your first marriage?
How many children does your fiancé have?
Do you want children?
What does your fiancé do?
Where did you learn your english?
When did you meet?
How many times did your fiancé visit you?
How long did he stay?

So overall, some very easy questions. The interview only las... read complete review

Interview at Consulate was smooth. If all paperwork is in order and organized, as we were, the process takes just over 1 1/2 hours. The interview was only 7-10 minutes with standard questions about how we met and as the interviewer requested, to "tell him our story". We did arrive at ^:30 and were first in line. We sat next to the elevator and moved to the rear so that we would be first off. Then went to the line for 14A/B.Our number was C1as we were first. After that you go to the windows as you are called and then back to the waiting area until called for the interview. Good luck to all VJers.

The embassy is huge, no sitting outside or inside the building
they only want to see you moving at all times.

If you go with your fiance(e) be ready to wait, also go early, try to be outside before the time they tell you ( at least 1 or 2 hrs before) the place can get crowed and they make different lines. the left lines are for students, k1,k3, the right far line is for people resubmitting information.

i got to this place 1 hour earlier to pickup our appointment for the next day we ended up getting a higher number eventhough we were like #low.
the second day things get a little hectic as the number doesn't really matter

it's all on a first come first serve basis pretty much.

be careful if you spend too much time outside there's bums and a lot of smoking.

the train station is very close to here so it makes this a very busy area.

Quick interview, quick approval.

Rewind to receiving P4: they left out a lot of documents, and sent us the non-K1 packet. If you don't pay attention, things like this will trip you up. Pay attention to the lists on this website for your visa type.

Medical: went to the Family clinic on a Saturday morning. Few people there, and we returned at 4 pm to pickup results and x-ray.

Document intake:

The took everything listed on the instruction packet, excluding two items:

1. The non-married notarized white book. They took the other two, the police and birth certs, but not that one. They did ask her to sign a statement that she was able to marry.
2. Photocopy of her passport.

I was really unsure about this, so my fiance took this stuff to the interview the next day just in case the document handler made a mistake.

Interview day:

Arrived at about 5:30 am. ... read complete review
