The interview took about 3 minutes. White Paper! YES!!!
My lady arrived with three binders of photos and evidence of relationship.
The consulate officer asked a few questions and spoke mostly in Mandarin but did not want to review the pictures etc. She replied to questions mostly using english and cracked a few funnies about me. The officer was very polite and friendly.

Questions asked:
Q1: Is your fiance here today?
A1: No, he changed jobs recently and could not have vacation (I had sent a notarized letter explaining this) He did not want to see it.
Q2: Does your fiance speak Mandarin?
A2: She answered -
I can say ShiShi and Bu. This got a good laugh...
Q3: Will your son follow you to the US? (Her son is 11 and lives with father)
A3: Not now - Chinese schools are very good and he is busy studying
Q4: Will your son come to the US later?
A4: He is welcome there anytime, it's his choice. M... read complete review

They had problems with us not having wedding photos. We didn't do a traditional wedding. We just registered and a meal with friends and family. Lots of questions for the same answers. Two tricky questions with wrong dates and you will have to catch and correct them. When the interviewer hesitates interrupt him immediately by present more pictures, ask questions, explain what’s in the photos, do anything… Good luck!

3/7/2012 was the document intake date. Started to wait at 10:30am outside and the line was pretty long. We finally got in at 12:30pm and My fiancee went straight to 5th floor while I was waiting on the 4th floor at the cafe. Cup of coffee was $50. After my fiancee hand in the documents she waited again for the fingerprints.. After all done we left and wait until the next day for the interview.

Following day we got there at 7:30am and the line for the interview outside was really short. So theres pretty much no waiting time for the line. She got to the 5th floor at 7:40am and I waited again on the 4th floor but this time I wanted to save my $50 so I just stand right outside the cafe waiting area. Standing for 2 1/2 hours I was very very nervous and anxious about the result. Finally at 10:30am she came out and was looking for me. She found me and gave a cute happy smile and hug me knowing that she passes the interview. The officer was pretty nice.

Process went smooth.

Document intake day that started taking people in at about 12:20. Maybe 300 people waiting outside. Was raining so not very pleasant. They took minimal documents (I-864, 3 years tax returns, 2 visa pictures, notarized birth certificate, police report and marriage certificate with translations). Paid fee and had finger prints taken. Completed by 3:30 pm.

Interview day started taking people in at 7:30 am. Called to window at 10 am. Asked the following questions:

- Are you a member of the Communist Party?
- Where did you meet your husband?
- Where does he work?
- Where do you work?
- Where is he now? (I was downstairs... lol)

My wife tried to show him documents, my passport and pictures and he said I don't need to see any of that. You are approved. Took less than 5 minutes.

P.S. - One thing I had not read here... When they started the interview they pulled ou... read complete review

The wait was several hours, with many people there quit early. The interview itself was quick and pleasant.
