Sorry this took so long, I was finally able to Skype with my fiance and get more details.
The interview date was Nov. 28 so she and her sister traveled there a few days early so she could do the medical. They stayed at the small place in the same building as the consulate, the owner of the place was very helpful and got them a taxi for getting to the medical. She said the place was VERY simple. She went early,7am,so she could get the papers back later the same day. The wait was about one hour and the exam was 30 min. The only problem was she has a slight cold so they would not give any shots and gave her what looks like a CD to give to the doctor here when she gets to the US.
Turn in day was also a easy day other then the waiting. She had to wait outside about 1 hour before getting in and the weater was very cold. She said the man was very nice and told her which papers they wanted her to pull out of her stack. It was basicly just the ones listed on the P4, nothing else wa... read complete review

All went well, I just posted a topic in the China section with details. I came to Guangzhou to be with my wife, of course moral support never hurts but I didn't help much. I used the electronic filing, and must say that I think it sped the process.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I just finished my interview today, and passed it.

We showed up at 12:00 for document intake day, and ended up leaving at 2:45pm. They gave everyone a ticket and the number was called randomly. They only took the documents listed on the e-mail, with the exception of the tax transcripts(which were collected the next day). He asked some questions which was surprising to me, because I haven't seen anyone mention questions on document intake day. They were easy questions, mostly about my Australian stay which was about 8.5 years, and whether I was in the CCP.

We showed up at 6:45am on the interview day, and they started letting people in at 7:30am. While waiting to be let in outside, they arranged people based on the previous day's notice document. Once organized, there were 3 lines of people whose notice documents had a green dot on them, and 1 line of people without. Once inside, the process was similar to the day before; people were called to the interviewe... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancee went to Guangzhou on the 9th of December for a interview date of the 13th. She did the medicals there and these went smoothly.
December 12, document entry went well, after all the nervous tension of her going through all the paperwork, making sure everything was signed, copies of documents there, it was finally coming to an end. My fiancee was prepared, she made three different folders, one for all the documents that were needed for the visa, a file for the past application documents, and a file for photos. There were 156 photos, 100 pages of chat logs from QQ,and about 30 emails that she had ready. She was nervous and would go to the Embassy each day to look at the process and the lines in front of the Embassy to get a feel of the process. The process only took her a short time, not an issue for her. She did get a green dot on her paperwork, which she did not know why. She asked and was told they were for the people who were elderly or had children. None of these app... read complete review
