Doc intake day
They took all the required documents and asked her a few questions.
they asked:
What my name was?
Have you traveled abroad?
and if Mandarin was good for interview? she said she could do English.

Interview day
They only asked a few questions and didn't even ask to look at our pictures or any evidence of relationship. All they looked at was the forms from the doc intake.
They asked:

Where do I live?
Why do I live with my mamaw? papaw passed away recently and we chose to live with her because she's never lived alone.
Who the co-sponsor was? My dad
What do I do?
And where?

The interview was surprisingly painless. My fiance was asked questions about her year in the United States, her J-1 visa and the company she did her internship with. There were no requests for any of the pictures, phone records, etc. that she had prepared. She was approved and out of the interview by 9:30am.

Since my fiance is finishing her two year residency requirement of the J1 the VO told her they would wait until after the 2 year anniversary date to mail her visa. This seemed to be fair to me.

It my very limited experience, if you fill all the paperwork out properly and are legitimate about your relationship you should have no worries about the interview!

Document Intake

My fiancee arrived there at about 11:00am for document intake. The scheduled time was about 12:30. Apparently there was already a big line. There are actually two lines, immigration and non-immigration. She accidentally went into the wrong line and realized it too late, thus making her wait into the building a little longer than expected.

They started to let people in around 12:30pm. She went through security, and then they started to call numbers that were given on slips. My fiancee was unlucky and was second to last to be called. It seemed to be completely random since she wasn't second to last to actually get in.

She turned in everything on the instructions sheet. Even though on the email (We had the electronic file) it says you have to bring a copy of the email to the interview, they didn't take that. She signed the DSI-156K and GNI-2 in front of the person taking the documents. Surprisingly, they asked her if my tax form... read complete review
