Interviewer asked my fiancé approx 20 questions. Nothing difficult- just standard, " where did you meet, what does he do, where will you live stuff. He did focus on the abusive husband form they hand out before the nmeetimg. Overall Michelle said he was very nice and kind, seemed generally interested in her happiness and safety

The K1 interview wasn’t a hard one. It was more like a friendly conversation than what I thought.

My interview appointment was at 8:15 am and I got to the Guangzhou consulate at 8 am.

I first went through the security check, and then went to the main building. Lesson learned here, you can put your small items in the shelves at the security check for free. I paid 20 rmb at the booth outside the consulate for my phone…

Following the sign and the line I took the elevator to another floor for interview (can’t remember which floor now). There were lots of people there waiting for the immigration interview on different purpose such as family, investment, fiancée and etc. There are three sections in the same room. At the first section I got a number. At the second section, a lady took away my two passport photos, health check report, police report, birth certificate, financial support documents (since we filed a cosponsor,... read complete review

The interview was quick and easy. The fact that my fiancee know English well helped her. They did not ask for much information, beyond what basics are required. Result was Administrative Review.

They took questions via email throughout the administrative review and usually answered within two business days. They sent an email asking for the passport to be mailed in once the visa was ready to be issued. Through CITIC Bank, they received it very quickly and the visa was issued within a week. They then called my fiancee and warned her that the visa might not arrive at her designated location in-time before the expiration date of her medical exam. Thus, they gave her the option to pick it up at the consulate directly. She took this offer and picked it up at the appointed time with no problems. Success after five months, from the interview until visa pickup.

We arrived at 6:30 am with people already waiting in line . My wife appt. was for 7:45. They took the white books only did not want to see the tax information and the medical info. They asked her 8 question.
Where did you meet your husband. ( internet)
How many time has he visit you. (4)
How many children do I have (6) and they asked her the names
What do you like about your husband
Are you member of CCP
What will you do when you get to America? (House wife first year)
Is your husband here now? ( yes I was she showed my passport )
My wife speaks English about 70% but the officer did interview in Mandarin. My wife said she was very nice to her and did look at the pictures that we brought along. They kept the white books but gave us copies back.
