Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancee arrived at 7:30am and joined a long line outside, but the line moved quickly. She had to go through a security check and wait in a few different areas. Upstairs in Zone 1 she talked to a Chinese worker who asked for certain documents that needed to be submitted. Then she waited in Zone 2 to talk with the American interviewer. The friendly young man was very pleasant, asked her the name of the petitioner (my name), when we met, when she last saw me, and then he looked at some of the printed photos she brought of us together. His final question was about what she likes about me. Then he approved her for the visa.
She was back at her hotel in less than 2 hours. She said everyone was friendly and she felt pretty comfortable, not as nervous as she expected.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The Consular Officer made a nerve breaking task simple by making the interview more like an a conversation thereby taking away all the tensions
