Hello!

I for one, relied heavily on reviews like this in order to prepare myself for my interview so I am giving back by sharing my experiences and being as detailed as possible in doing so. Hope you hind thins helps!

1) If you choose to fly into and out of Montreal in the same day and do not have a hotel room - AS I DID - do not be freaking out about where to store your belongings while at the interview (I will explain that later). The Eaton Center that is two blocks away has storage lockers for $1/day and are very convenient.

My experience:

I had my interview on March 22, 2017. I flew into Montreal from Toronto that morning, landing at 8am. I wanted to give myself lots of time in case of a delayed flight, bad weather, or just getting lost in Montreal. Thankfully, none of those things happened and i had ample amounts of time to do a little exploring in Montreal. Word of advice. Come at the time you're supposed to, or if you're punctual like me, at least 5 minutes before. If you go earlier, they'll tell you to come back at the time you're supposed to.

You approach someone at the door first, they'll give you instructions, check for your name and give you a sheet with a number on it. If you bring your cell phone (don't bring bags or anything else clunky) you're to give it to someone at a desk who will keep it and give you a ticket in return.

So you go into an elevator, and from there, is a large room with chairs. K1 visas are on the right. At this time, you would need to prepare your paperwork. Put it in the order that you see on the sheet. Once they call your number you go up and provide them with the paperwork they ask for (I found I only had to supply at least 15% of the paperwork) once they have what they want, they'll ask you to do your fingerprints, and you're to be seated and wait until you're called again.... read complete review

Very organised staff. Front door entry guy is a little intense but dont be intimidated. Hes just doing his job! The wait upstairs was a couple hours but once you get up to window #1 and then #2 both staff I dealt with were very friendly. My interview at window #2 took maybe 10-15 mins. That was it!!! Good luck!
