Where do i begin. I left edmonton on may272008 with my daughter at 9am and got to montreal at 3:15pm it was so differnt everything was in french and english was second which was cool. took a cab to the hotal which is cheaper then the airport bus cause its only $35:00 flat rate from the airport and the airport bus does not drop you to the hotel you would hav to walk. We got to the days inn downtown montreal and settled in are room which was very nice we paid about $110:00 a night but it was worth it cause we sleped on a pillow top bed which was nice. I did not speack to my husband that day but he was driving up from albany ny and he didnot leave till about 4:30pm so i had some time on my hand. My daughter and i order food shower and watch some tv by the time i look it was after nine and still no husband. Then the door open and it was him and i was so happy cause i havent seen him since febuary 5 2008. we talk and even took a walk to see if we could find the embassy on are own it was ve... read complete review

Very simple and quick. As long as you are well-prepared with the necessary documents things should go smoothly.

I arrived at 12:45 for my 1pm appointment. I was permitted to enter the building and went through one security check and walked up some stairs and was put in the elevator for the 20th floor. I went through a second security check on the 20th floor, was given a sheet of paper that listed the order for the documents, and was then permitted to wait in the waiting room.
I waited about 15 - 20 minutes before I was called to window B. I gave all my documents in the order they asked for and was then told to wait to be called to window 2.
I then waited until 3:30pm for my interview, as the poor fellow ahead of me was being grilled over a criminal incident from 25 years ago. He was not granted his visa that day.
The lady then called me to the window and was very appologetic for the long wait. I first gave my fingerprints then she proceeded with the questions:
1 - when did you meet
2 - what website
3 - when did you first meet face to face

Well, I think this will read pretty much like every other review of interviews conducted in Montreal.

We checked into the Tour Centre-Ville Montreal on May 5th and made a practice run to the embassy that night to time our commute in the morning. After walking around some, we decided Montreal is really beautiful and ... French! I loved being able to use my grade 10 French on people and they thought we were a cute little family. That night, I didn't sleep much and our son woke us up bright and early (5 am sound horrendous to you? It was...)

We got dressed and carried all our files, baby stuff and of course, the baby to the Consulate at 6:50. We were the first in line and it started to drizzle a tad and so I took my son to the Cultures cafe inside the SNC Lavalin building. He played with all their furniture and earned a KitKat candy bar for his troubles (the lady at the counter thought he was "le Cute, eh?". Yes, he is le Cute! Thank you!) I took my time beca... read complete review

My interview was on April 24.

This is how it went...

we got there at 8:00 am even though we knew that it would be better to go there at 7:30 due to my leg injury in a car accident the day before the intervew.

we went through the airport like security at 8:30 and was told to go to 19th floor taking the elevator...we did that and went to window 14 as it was instucted by officer downstairs. then she asked to see the passport and the xpresspost envelop ans she said that that was the right size and she gave us a number ticket and told us to wait to call back.

We waited around 20 minutes and then our number came up and we went to window 9. We went to window 9 and there was a nice guy there. he asked for out interview letter, medical report, passport and the pics. he chatted with us about how we met and what i did and what my husband did for a living while he went through his procedure on computer. he was very friendly and nice. ... read complete review
