Had my interview today and it was SUPER easy!!
MEDICAL:
I am not from the Vancouver area, so had my grandma drive me into the dr appmt in Surrey/Delta. (One side of the street is Delta, one is Surrey!)
I had to give them my passport and my vaccinations records, and the letter. Now in the 'medical checklist' you get with package 4, it says to bring the letter in, which I didn't really know what it was. Basically its the letter from the vancouver consulate with your case number. Make sure you bring the one that is the letter, and not you asking them a question, with the written case number on it! I had brought the wrong letter so the lady brought me behind her desk and I opened up my emailed and printed it off!
She was super friendly. I only waited maybe 10 minutes before a nurse/receptionist weighed me and measured my height and then I sat in the room and waited for Dr. Cheema.
He was also very friendly. He did the nor... read complete review

I stayed at the 'Le Dauphin Montreal Downtown' Hotel, few minutes walking distance from the Consulate. The hotel was very nice, I would say that everything in the room was almost brand-new; very clean, comfortable and convenient. Wi-Fi was included; there was a desk-top computer in my room and, if needed, there is a Business Room (Room 500) with a laser printer. Breakfast in included but not the parking (BTW, it's 130 CAD/night); for the parking, you can use the hotel's parking for a fee and if available (it was full that day); if not, the hotel will recommend an indoor parking close-by at 22CAD/night but you can drive around the hotel and you can save some dollars for an outdoor parking.
About the interview, my experience wasn't any different than other VJ's experience; I would say that all the stress I had was for nothing. I wasn't the first in line (arrived at the consulate at 7.30 am, when they opened the door) but my wait time was like 15 minutes for the first window - wer... read complete review

took about 2 hours- mostly sitting, waiting. bring a book (not in a purse or backpack- those are not allowed inside).
be sure to bring LONG FORM birth certificate (listing both parents' names).
i did have to go back to have my fingerprints re-taken, fortunately i lived nearby so it wasn't a huge headache.
it wasn't too bad, but it's not something i look forward to in the future either.
