Interview went very well today, but felt I was asked some super funny questions.

First I should note that everyone says to go early, I was not able to go early so I arrived when I could at 9:30am, my appt was for 10:00am. I was worried that I would have to wait hours and hours, as some ppl here mentioned they were in and out in 2 to 2.5 hours when they arrived between 6:45am or 7:00am and waited in line outside. Lets just say I was terrified of what my wait might be coming so late in the day! So I arrived at 9:30am and was pleasantly surprised that there was 0 line up, I walked up to the door and the officer told me to come in. I handed my Loomis confirmation to a lady standing in the foyer area and they told me to stand near the next door, I was immediately waved into the screening area where I went through the airport type security. Everything was fine, except my keys, I thought they'd be an issue, but figured they had to let me leave them somewhere, which they did. I... read complete review

The entire process was under 2 hrs., and the interviewer allowed me to interview with my filipina fiancee. It was a rather intersting experience as that was my first time inside a Consulate of any nationality.

After what seemed like forever, I finally had my interview at the Montreal consulate. Here is my experience, skip to the middle for the actual consulate if that's all you're interested in -

Having never been to Montreal, I flew in from Toronto on a westjet flight the day before my interview. I used the onthefly app on android to find a combination of tickets that were actually cheaper than a round trip ticket and decided that was a better and faster way to get there instead of taking the train. I left around noon on a Thursday and was walking off the plane by 1:15p - I took a cab downtown, there is a flat $40 rate without tip. I just brought two $50's for the two trips I would take. I ended up staying a block from the consulate at the Le Square Phillips Hotel. It's very upscale, bellhops, etc... and the room you'll get is enormous. Seriously I was awed. Euro-style, you get a full kitchen with heated tile floors, two flat screen tv's and waterfall shower-head. They also ... read complete review

Our interview was on March,14. We arrived at the Consulate around 7 am and nobody was there so we decided to go and get some coffee. When we came back at 7.20 there were already around 10 people in the line. But thanks to VisaJourney I still managed to get A1 number(I already knew that the back door of the elevator would open and was the first one to get out of the elevator)

I am that kind of person who always gets nervous. A few days before my interview I was already thinking how nervous I would be. So this day finally came but I wasn't nervous at all! I was pretty sure I would get this visa and it made me feel already happy and excited And I just could't wait for my interview to hear that I am approved and to see that paper saying:" Welcome to US".

When I came to the window 8 I saw a serious man but at the end he was smiling already and joking with me. He asked regular questions like "how did we meet", "where does my fiance work".He e... read complete review

When I spoke to my fiancee after the interview, she told me that the whole thing was over very quickly. The security guards were overly stern on the way in, but very polite on the way out.

We were way over-prepared for the interview, and in the end they only needed the I-134 and supporting documents. The consular agent was pleasant and really only asked a few questions before giving her announcing to her "Welcome to America."
