Interview went very well today, but felt I was asked some super funny questions.

First I should note that everyone says to go early, I was not able to go early so I arrived when I could at 9:30am, my appt was for 10:00am. I was worried that I would have to wait hours and hours, as some ppl here mentioned they were in and out in 2 to 2.5 hours when they arrived between 6:45am or 7:00am and waited in line outside. Lets just say I was terrified of what my wait might be coming so late in the day! So I arrived at 9:30am and was pleasantly surprised that there was 0 line up, I walked up to the door and the officer told me to come in. I handed my Loomis confirmation to a lady standing in the foyer area and they told me to stand near the next door, I was immediately waved into the screening area where I went through the airport type security. Everything was fine, except my keys, I thought they'd be an issue, but figured they had to let me leave them somewhere, which they did. I handed them to an officer who gave me a number and said I could come pick them up after my interview - perfect! Now to the famous elevators I've read so much about. I guess since I was 'late' and didn't arrive early like most other people that is why I was the only one there, lol... I walked to the elevator, waited for it and headed up to the 19th floor.

I arrived on the 19th floor and was greeted by the visa reception counter, where I gave the lady my passport and loomis confirmation, she gave me a number and told me to take a seat. I waited 15 minutes and was called to the window. The lady at the window asked for my passport, my birth certificate, marriage license, original AOS form, police certificate, and then took my finger prints. She told me to take a seat and they'd call my number. I sat down, waited another 20 minutes and then was called up for my interview. I walked up and had a guy, a really nice guy - he started my interview with: "Is your husbands name really Mr. *****" and I said yes, he said that is the coolest last name ever. "Thanks I say, I was excited to become Mrs. *****" Ok now onto the interview, it was nice to start it off so light. He started with normal questions, and then to what seemed like some odd questions:
- Where did you meet? (was pretty vague even though we have a great 'how you met' story)
- Hmm, interesting, so tell me more about how you got talking?
- What does you husband do for work, when did you get married, all those normal ones
Then it got specific....
- Have you ever been arrested?
- Have you ever been arrested and then offered a pardon and you accepted the pardon so now the arrest is no longer on your record? Me: HUH? You can do that? LOL I laughed and said no, definitely not.
- Have you even been to jail and the officer let you out and you requested it be taken off your record and the judge allowed it? Me: WHAT THE HECK?!

Then he pauses and says, this seems too easy, your file is too organized, they're usually more complicated - he said this is the most organized file I have ever seen. I said I can make it more difficult if you'd like, he laughed and said no its OK. He then told me to make sure to bring my file to my POE, he said the officers will really like to see it and will like how organized I am. I told him I don't leave home without it, lol.

He paused again, looking at his screen and says "So you've never been arrested in Sweden then?" WHAT ON EARTH. These questions were fantastic! I actually enjoyed the experience. He then told me my visa was approved and sent me on my way - I was out the door at 10:40am, so it took exactly 1 hour, 10 minutes (including security screening time)

So to sum up this long review, who knows what you'll be asked, be prepared and personally I wouldn't go at 6am or 7am. If your appt is at 10am, just go a bit early, maybe half hour or so. I left like I was in and out in no time, and I'd say an hour is reasonable for what is going on.
