I got there at 7:20am and there were about 8 people in line. About 10 min later the guard came out letting people in. There was a slight delay for people going for visas cause the lady was given the wrong appointment list for today, so I waited for another 20 min before we were let through. No one was waiting at the elevator so I was first in. Get to reception and I was number 4. I waited 10 min until they called my number. They asked for passport(s)/photocopies, med exam, 2 passport photos, birth certificate/photocopy, Affidavet of support, police record and letter of intent. Went quickly about 5 min then I was asked to sit and wait. 35 min later its interview time. Nice lady asked only a few questions. Everything was fine, but she said the letter of intent is over 30 days and I must get a new one to send to them by mail along with my passport at the loomis courier branch of my choice. Got there at 7:20 and left at 9:45 sadly Im still in the process of getting the visa.

I am the petitioner giving the review off of the experience my fiance told me about at his interview.
My fiance stayed at the Travelodge. The room was very small, but sufficient for just a one night stay. It was also within walking distance to the Consulate. Since checkout wasn't until around 11, he left his belongings in the room. They also had wifi so we were able to Skype while he was there.
He arrived to the Consulate early,a little before 7:00 a.m. He was the first in line. He did as others had suggested and sat by the elevator and went to the left and back when they came to get everyone. He was able to get the first ticket. He said the first lady taking his fingerprints was very nice. He didn't have to wait long until they called him to the second window. He said this lady wasn't as friendly and tried to not make eye contact. She asked for the new Letter of Intent, the financial info, his birth certificate, police report, medical envelope. She asked... read complete review

My interview was on August 5th, 2014. I arrived at the consulate about 6:30 (way to early) they open the Consulate door at 7:30, I was first in line and people began lining up around 7:00. Several people had large bags and cellphones, and were told that they will not be admitted in the building. Make sure you have only necessities. I only had my huge folder, a little purse with my house keys and my bus pass.
You need the Loomis confirmation printed, your appointment email and your passport on hand. They will check printouts and your passport before you’re even let through security. You go through security and you go downstairs to wait for 8:00 and they let you in the elevator. Make sure you are first to enter the elavator; the door opens in the other side at the 19th floor, and you can get your number right away for the interview (first come first served).
I got #1 and I was called after 5 minutes to window #1.
The woman was very friendly.... read complete review

Medical – July 8th, 2014
I stayed at the Sandman Signature by the airport and just taxied to the medical … was about 40$ each way and took ~20 minutes.
My appointment was at 10:00, but I got there around 9:40. The lady at the front desk took all my paperwork right when I got in and Dr.Cheema saw me right away.
One of the assistants took my height and weight and then I waited in a room for the doctor. The examination felt super rushed- Dr.Cheema didn’t really ask me many questions … do I smoke, do drugs, any DUIs, random chit chat about work and moving. Did a little eye exam, took my blood pressure, examined eyes/ears/neck, listened to my heart, felt my abdomen and that was it. I was actually in and out before the appointment was even scheduled to start.
It was a gorgeous morning, so I walked to the building where I had to get the chest x-ray and blood work done, which took about half an hour. Both rooms were ... read complete review

Pretty straightforward- do NOT arrive too early as you'll just have to wait around as they only let you in about 15 minutes before your scheduled time. They do have small lockboxes for SMALL personal items that aren't allowed in. As others have said, the Quiznos across the street will hold larger bags for 10 bucks, and they are very nice.
All of the consulate staff are very very pleasant, and helpful.
I think I was at the windows for less than 5 minutes each. All my papers were in order and it was very quick. My appointment was for 10 AM and I was good to go by 11:30.
