my husband had his medical done in the morning in Vancouver, it took as round one hour and next day reports were ready in the afternoon.... over all experience was good

Interview date 16th march 2015

we are thankful for fellow vj members for providing detailed information about embassy and the steps to goto the line fast...once reached to the floor where interview was going to take place like everyone says at the first window they took all the original document since we did EP....then interview itself took about 15 to 20 minutes questions were basic like describe the relationship between us, how long did I stay in canada.......they did not ask for additional documents or photos...... at the end they provided with welcome letter and we are approved........

My interview was on a Friday morning. After picking up my medical at Medisys as they opened at 7 am, my dad drove me down to the consulate. We arrived about 710 and there was no one else around. a couple people began to show up around 725 so I got out of the car and went to join them. Dad headed back to the hotel. I stood right where it was recommended on here to stand and it worked out beautifully. It seemed as if I was the only one who had any clue what I was doing, obviously thanks to VJ and the huge amount of advice and information I was able to get from the forums and other reviews here. about 735 the guard unlocked the door and allowed everyone who had gathered outside to come in to the foyer at once, I guess because it was cold and windy outside. The receptionist stood just inside the door checking names against her sheet of scheduled appointments. Then it was through security, fairly relaxed compared to airport security but a similar setup. The signs state not to bring ... read complete review

I wanted to give a review of my interview at the Vancouver Consulate. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time of 9am. I had to show my passport, my DS-160 confirmation page right away, and my medical package envelope. Then I went through the initial security of a guard flipping through my folder of various papers and photos and wallet and passport I had brought with me. I decided against bringing a purse as I didn't have a small enough one. I was surprised to see that they had small little locked boxes with keys where you could store your cell phone if you brought it. I wish I would have known this! I think the first thing you want to do after your interview is call your fiancé, but I had to wait till I got home to call him as I left my cell phone at home. I was then allowed in the building, and had to go through another security check. It is very similar to going through security at the airport. I had to take off my boots too. After I went through security I asked to use t... read complete review

I’m writing this at the airport in Vancouver while waiting for my flight home while everything is still fresh in my mind! Like many other Vancouver applicants, I noticed a lack of Vancouver reviews in comparison to the Montreal reviews. A HUGE thank you to all who took the time to share their experiences and paint a picture ahead of time of what the experience was like. I’ll try to be as detailed as possible in hopes that it helps someone else.

As the time of this writing (March 2015) the consulate is only scheduling K-1 interviews on Tuesday mornings. Unfortunately, that means that if you’re coming from out of town, you have to stay over the weekend because your medical results aren’t ready for pick-up until after 4 PM on the day FOLLOWING your medical exam & blood-work (so the shortest amount of time you could do it in is 5 days — medical on Friday morning, pick up medical results on Monday afternoon, interview Tuesday morning). I flew in on Thursday evening ... read complete review
