So… I can't believe that part is done. It has been a couple of weeks since the interview on May 22, but I will try to recall as much as I can.
So another lovely VJer and I lined up early. I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard and it was 3 minutes walk (exactly, I timed it) to the consulate door. I was there around 7:00 and there were a couple of people lined up. The doors opened around 8:30ish, and those of us with interviews after 9 a.m. were turned away and told to come back about 15 minutes before the time. They were pretty strict about that. As some others have pointed out, the numbers and a small card with the documents you need to present right away were given to us outside, before we even went through security. So I went and waited at the Tim Horton's down the road, and came back about 9:30 for my 10 a.m. interview. The lady who was managing the line asked all of us if we had our Loomis papers, but no one ever checked for them. I was let in, went through security... read complete review

Interview was quick and easy. I had one page of photos/dates, which they didn't ask to look at. They asked if I met his parents and kids, if we'd set a wedding date.

Stayed at the Marriot Courtyard Downtown which was less than a 5 minute walk to the consulate. Got there at around 6:50am, with 5 people already waiting. Luckily, most of them were there for other visas so I wasn't in competition with them to get in line. When you are waiting, someone comes out and asks who has a 7:40am appointment (K1s usually do). They handed me a plastic card with a number on it. I was #1!
I was sent inside for security check. Whatever you do, do not bring a large purse or cellphones. All I did was bring my debit card, cash, hotel key, and a file folder for my documents. Went room downstairs and waited for about 8-10 minutes. An officer came to open the elevator and you go up. It doesn't matter where you stand in the elevator anymore as you get numbers.
I was called to the window booth and was asked for my passport, photocopy of my biographic data page, birth certificate, police records, I-134 and supporting documents. Was sent back to... read complete review

I was approved May 28th 2015 at the consulate at my interview. We stayed at a hotel in the east of montreal on a hotwire deal as we were staying for 3 days.
After following all the guides it was seamless and smooth process.
I was second in line at 7 am for my 8 am appointment. I lined up towards the yellow posts and garage; and thank goodness i did. Everyone on the opposite side was sent to the back of the line which was at least 80 people by 7:30 am. I let the young guy interviewing for his fiance visa that was there before me in even though I was first in line on the correct side - so i received a applicant 2 laminated ticket.
The lady asked to see the p4 interview letter and the loomis delivery confirmation letter then let me in. She was quite nice.
Quick security check and I checked in my cell phone.
I sat right by the elevator - which now doesn't matter as they go in order of the tickets when ... read complete review

My interview was on May 27th at 7:40 am. My Fiance and I left our hotel and walked the short distance to the consulate. We arrived at the consulate around 7:25 am. (Not too early, having read previous reviews advising that there was no point in arriving more than 15 minutes prior to the interview time.) There was already a line up of about 15 to 20 people outside on the sidewalk, some alone some with another person. Shortly after we got in line quite a few people came and lined up behind us.
We probably waited 10 minutes before they opened the doors and started letting people inside. The line didn't move too slowly overall, and in about another 10 minutes I reached the lady who was screening everyone before they went into the consulate. She asked what time my interview was scheduled for (7:40 am) and asked to see my passport and appointment letter.
There was a man ahead of us who was turned away, and some others as well because they had bags/briefcases o... read complete review
