On June 16th I had my interview and since reading this blog on past interviews I felt completely prepared!!
I arrived at the consulate around 6:50am/7:00 and there was 2 people in front of me. The first girl was another reader of VJ and the young man also there was chatting with her about basically all the info we read on here. There was a few people that I'm guessing have not seen or heard of this blog because a few people had big back packs and purses as well as didn't realize there was a line. A few people actually tried to jump in front of the girl at the front by saying they didn't realize there was a line.
First a lady came out and asked to see passport, appointment letter and loomis confirmation. I think i actually got my number here already but regardless I got #3. Once we were let inside you go through airport like security, they take your phone and your sent down a set of stairs to a waiting area outside the elevator. The girl and guy that were ... read complete review

So just had my interview this morning and thought I should share my experience!
So I arrived at the consulate at 6:30am, and was completely alone. Yay! (arrive as early as you can because once 7 hits, there is a line down the street) shortly after 7, lady came outside asks to see your Loomis Courier confirmation page, and your passport, this is only to make sure that you have chosen an office to have your visa sent to.
After she checked my stuff, I was sent inside to go through security. Have to admit, the guards were pretty unnecessarily rude, but hey, it just added to the prison atmosphere those first steps have haha. After being cleared with security, I was sent downstairs to sit in a waiting room. After about 10 minutes, a security guard came down and told us to go into an elevator and when we get out a lady will be there to help us.
Once you get on the interview floor, you're divided into groups as of where you are sitting depending o... read complete review

Hi all just want to share my experience...My interview was at 9:30, got there around 8:50, the nice security lady asked for my loomis letter, interview letter and my passport and then she told me its early so come back after nine..I waited around and then came back to her at 9am, by that time there was a line, she saw me and called me straight up and give me the number 27 and told me to go in..went to the second door and wait for a couple of seconds then another guard came out and told me to come in and put my clear plastic envelope with my documents and cash into the bin which they scanned and i walked through another scanner..he kept my phone and give me a number to pick it up after my interview.
I went down the stairs to the elevator, only one other person was waiting, took elevator up to the 19 floor another nice woman told us to sit in the immigrant section and wait for my number to call.
The numbers were not called in sequence but dont worry not a bi... read complete review

I had my interview in Montreal on Wednesday and it was far less stressful than I was anticipating. My experience does not differ that much from what others have posted on here, but here are the highlights:
- I showed up at the consulate right when they opened at 8:15am and was greeted with a smile by a very friendly woman. She looked at my passport and Loomis conformation letter, then told me to come back closer to my interview time. My interview was at 9am and they did not let me come up until 8:45am. Then at 8:45am, she gave me a number and told me I could go in. To those who have interviews coming up, don't bother showing up early. Sleep in, grab some breakfast, walk the area. In short, relax.
- Security was no problem because I only brought my paperwork and some change. They asked me to empty my pockets into a container, remove my belt, and walk through the metal detector.
- There were far fewer people there than I expected, so don't wor... read complete review
