So just had my interview this morning and thought I should share my experience!

So I arrived at the consulate at 6:30am, and was completely alone. Yay! (arrive as early as you can because once 7 hits, there is a line down the street) shortly after 7, lady came outside asks to see your Loomis Courier confirmation page, and your passport, this is only to make sure that you have chosen an office to have your visa sent to.

After she checked my stuff, I was sent inside to go through security. Have to admit, the guards were pretty unnecessarily rude, but hey, it just added to the prison atmosphere those first steps have haha. After being cleared with security, I was sent downstairs to sit in a waiting room. After about 10 minutes, a security guard came down and told us to go into an elevator and when we get out a lady will be there to help us.

Once you get on the interview floor, you're divided into groups as of where you are sitting depending on your visa type. I wasn't sitting for very long before being called to the first window to hand in all my documents. The lady there was very nice, and answered any questions I had. After collecting my things, she took my fingerprints and told me to sit down and wait to be called up.

I was sitting for about five minutes before I was called to the interview window. The guy I had was super nice and that definitely eased my mind. As of the interview itself, there is no question you wouldn't know the answer to as long as your relationship is genuine. He basically asked me how I met my fiance, have we ever been married, where my fiance was from, what he does for a living and what our wedding plans are. I saw him notice my engagement ring and he asked about it. After that, the all famous "Welcome to the United States of America" flyer.

and that was it. I almost feel silly for being so nervous. As long as you are fully prepared and have everything, you'll be fine. I rate this a 4/5...security guards were jerks lol.
