Excellent experience overall, a lot of waiting for a short interview sums it all.
Documents that were required from me are:
- Interview Letter (P4)
- Passport and 2 passport photos
- Original (Long Form) birth certificate. Be sure to get the long for one, I also had the short form but the attendant confirmed the Long Form is required.
- Original Marriage certificate
- Original Divorce Decree
- Original Police Clearance
- Original Affidavit of Support and W2s
- Finger prints taken
She commented on how well organized I was, be sure to have your docs ready to be handed over, it speeds up the entire process.
She did not need my DS-260 or the photocopy of my passport
I sat down to read over the domestic abuse sheet of paper, I didn't even have time to read the first paragraph, I was called back to window 7 for my actual interview.
The interviewer himsel... read complete review

I had my interview on October 13, 2015 at 8:30AM. I arrived at the location on St. Alexandre a little after 8:00AM and waited in a short line to clear security. It's very much like an airport, where you clear out your pockets, have your possessions scanned, and go through a metal detector. The woman working waved me down with a wand, checked my cell phone in, and then let me proceed down the stairs and to the elevator. People going for immigrant visas got plasticized cards. Those going for non immigrant visas did not. I got #10.
On the 19th floor there was a greeter waiting to sort those who came up in the elevator. Immigrant visa appointments sat in the chairs in the middle section, and non-immigrant went to the back to form a line. There are a line of "tellers" with glass windows to take your information, and then a hallway down which the more private interviews take place. When I arrived they were working with #4 and #5 (windows 1 and 2 served immigrant visas, 1 deali... read complete review

I had my interview today. My appointment time was 10am. Arrived at the consulate at 9:45. It took 2 hours for my number to be called to submit original documents. They didn't asked any copies or copies of my husband document's to prove domicile. After window 2 I sat back and 5 minutes later I was called to window 7.
I was asked:
What your husband do for a living?
How did you met?
When was the first time you met in person?
When did you get married?
Do you have any children?
Have you been arrested?
Have you been to the U.S illegally?
After a few minutes he handed me the paper and told me my visa was approved.
Thank you everyone, especially to Saylin and Dwheels76.

Our appointment is at 930am. We arrived at about 9am. The gentleman in front was nice. He wanted to make sure we got either confirmation of DS260 or the P4 interview letter. He handed us the number before my parents went in. No bags allowed. He also told us to make sure my parents went upstairs and sit in the middle of the room.
I didn't go in. My parents said they first check all the documents. It took them a while. Then it's the interview. The questions were very general.
They came out a little after 12. Everything went smooth!

Appointment was at 9:30. Tried showing up at 8:30 but was told we were "too early" and to come back at 9:00.
Pleasant surprise was that I as the petitioner was allowed to accompany my parents (applicants). Emails and websites made it sound like applicants would be on their own.
After arriving it was a 2.5 hour wait to get to our number. First stop was "pre-screening" which involved handing over a bunch of documents. Just a few basic questions like addresses. Documents that we prepared but were NOT required included: petitioner passport and proof of domicile and IRS transcript (though this was asked for later). Total time for both parents was about 20 mins.
From there, we went back to waiting for the actual interview which came up in about another 20 mins. The interview was also a breeze, with more fingerprints being taken and ask for the IRS transcript. Several original documents were given back (except for passports) and approval was grant... read complete review
