Excellent experience overall, a lot of waiting for a short interview sums it all.
Documents that were required from me are:
- Interview Letter (P4)
- Passport and 2 passport photos
- Original (Long Form) birth certificate. Be sure to get the long for one, I also had the short form but the attendant confirmed the Long Form is required.
- Original Marriage certificate
- Original Divorce Decree
- Original Police Clearance
- Original Affidavit of Support and W2s
- Finger prints taken
She commented on how well organized I was, be sure to have your docs ready to be handed over, it speeds up the entire process.
She did not need my DS-260 or the photocopy of my passport
I sat down to read over the domestic abuse sheet of paper, I didn't even have time to read the first paragraph, I was called back to window 7 for my actual interview.
The interviewer himself was really laid back and relaxed. Questions asked:
1. this is your second marriage?
2. Is this the first marriage for your spouse?
3. Where did we meet and when?
4. When did you get married?
5. Seems to me you guys got married very quick, why was that? (I have to admit I did not expect this question, kind of caught me off guard, but I remained calm, and told him how we came to get married quick, or at least quick in his eyes.)
6. No issues with the US law?
7. criminal record or DUI?
8. Ever dined entry in the US, or illegal entry?
That's it. He said I'm approving your US Visa, here's your Welcome to the USA letter!
All in all a very good experience, don't show up more than 30 minutes to your interview, or you will get turned around.
Good luck to everyone, best advice, BE PREPARED AND ORGANIZED. I was amazed on how many people were not prepared, no photos with them, did not arranged with Loomis for the passport delivery.
