Security measures to go into the building are beyond ridiculous, give yourself at least 30 minutes to go through that.
Waiting room took about 2 hours until being attended for the interview.
Interview went great. Made it much easier going with my fiance for proof of authenticity of our case.

Just had my interview today at 9.30am.
Reached the consulate at 8.00 am and was allowed to go in.....There was a short line, but it did not feel that long. Once inside the same airport style security check. They do allow mobile phones inside and they are to be deposited at the security check and you can collect it back when u are done with the interview.
Went up to the 19th floor where I was called to window 12 for submitting the medical and birth certificates and the passport pics. Was asked to go back and sit and read the domestic violence paper.
After about 30 minutes was called to window 8 where the Consul was a young man.
Questions Asked :
Where does your wife live ?
Where did you meet you wife ?
What does she do in the US ?
Theses were the only questions asked.
Was in and out of the consulate in about 1hr 30 mins.
Was not asked about any ... read complete review

Okay, this is loooooong and very detailed!
I had my interview in Montreal January 19 and stayed at the Days Inn downtown which is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the consulate straight up Renée Levesque Boulevard. I booked a weeklong stay at the hotel because my interview was on a Tuesday and the medical was the previous Wednesday because the medical results take four days to come back.
The Medical
My medical was on Wednesday, January 13 at 10 AM. The building the medical is in is called Loto Quebec at 500 Rue Sherbrooke West on the 11th floor, when you step out of the elevator there are two doors that both say Medisys but only one is the actual visa medical location - it's the one with the paper notices on it. You wait to be called to the receptionist, give her:
- 5 passport photos
- your passport
- your confirmation print out showing the date of your interview
- package 4 letter
- all your medical files inc... read complete review

Long journey, very surreal when got approval.
I did my medical a month before since it was the holiday season, I just wanted to get it outta the way and have everything ready. Seeing the doc was fast and easy, since a couple days prior I reviewed my vacs with my fam doc (asked her write a presciption indicating I took the shot). I saw dr.zatzman he has a website with instructions, very handy. I thought he was friendly and professional.
For my interview, I went a day before to Montrael since my interview was at 9:30 in the morning. My family drove me ... One thing about the driving there - it's crazy! Also it's freezing cold! Everything else is great tho
Anyway I arrived 9am, didn't have to wait outside. The line was short just 2 people ahead of me and 3 behind me after. Everyone fit in the little area. I was worried I couldn't wear my coat in since I read the whole cannot bring bags, etc. But the security laughed and sa... read complete review
