Hardest part was just waiting. The interview itself took place with me called up to a kiosk window. I think he asked me about 3 questions before basically rubber stamping things.

I read all the other reviews about Montreal consulate before I went to mine, and it was approved helpful. First of all, IT IS fist come first serve. My interview was scheduled at 7:40 am in the morning, which was the first time slot available in a day, but there were already 28 people before me when I arrive at 7:30 am.
I got the number of 29 at the door, waited for a while to get through the security, then was directed into the downstairs lobby to wait for the elevator.I panicked a little because I sat far away from the elevator, and the guard did not call for numbers or anything, and people just seemed to rush into the elevator when it comes down. I missed the first two times, so I decided to just move very fast into the elevator when I saw the third one.
The guard took all of us to the 19th floor, I sat in the middle section, as told by the girl at the door who gave me my number. It was about 8:20 at this point. Then I sat there until 9:00 am, when I ... read complete review

My appointment was for 10am on Friday, 15 April.
I arrived at the Consulate at about 9:40, just to be safe.
When I arrived, I joined the line outside of about 15 people, and was admitted to the building at roughly 9:50.
Entering the actual Consulate, I stood in line for about 15 minutes or so, and watched all the US Nationals admitted before anyone with an appointment.
Upon actually arriving at the floor where my interview would take place, I was provided a number and told to have a seat, listening for my number to be called.
I was #23, and the time written (off elevator) was 10:10. So, a little late....but not too bad, considering.
Numbers were called in the most haphazard fashion I've ever seen. I like to think they were either shaking a Magic 8 Ball, or reaching blindly into a paper bag of numbers....which one shall be next?
Remember, I got off the elevator at 10:10.
By 1:30, my number had been called. What started off as a cro... read complete review

Medical appointment :
04/25/2016 at Medisys Montreal, 10AM with Dr Marcel Pigeon.
I got there early, as I live on the south shore, and it is always hard to plan on traffic in advance. Parked my car in the underground parking at the clinic location at 9:20. Got to the 11th floor and was handed the questionnaire right away in exchange of my vaccination records, passport and 5 photos. Filled out the questionnaire, nothing fancy, just general questions about medical history, current conditions and medications. Got called for the chest X-ray at 9:45. Back to the waiting room at 9:50. Got called by the nurse at 10:00. She took some blood for the syphilis test, then we reviewed my vaccination records and I was missing one vaccine that I learnt was not given before 1980 in my home country (France). So I got it done on the spot for an extra 60$ . Then height, weight, sight, blood pressure, pulse. And back again in the waiting room, this time for about a... read complete review

Arrived 30 mins early before our appointment time (10am) to stand in line outside. Any earlier and they send you away. They take you in batches into security screening. We showed our interview letter to the check-in guy at the front and waited in line for security. It was very similar to airport security. No large bags or electronics allowed. So it was funny to see everyone carry their life in papers in plastic bags with them. I had a fabric tote bag and it was fine. They give you a ticket (the size of carnival prize tickets, super small, careful not to loose it) for your electronics. I brought granola bars with me (cuz I get hangry and we didn't have time for breakfast and we didn't know how long it would take) But the guard almost confiscated them and asked if I was Diabetic. I told him I get low blood sugar and he reluctantly let me through with them. We down some stairs, walked through a hallway and took the elevator up to the 19th floor. FYI - There's a photo booth that takes pass... read complete review
