I had my K-1 interview today and it was approved. This was literally the part of this process that intimidated me the most, but it was by far the easiest.
Line up early!! By 7:15am the line is already quite long. Stay at the Courtyard Marriott as it's literally a block away and Montreal traffic is horrid.
Make sure to have a copy of your passports biometric page. I didn't read that I needed that anywhere, but being the neurotic organized person I am I wanted to have everything I needed plus a whole lot more of things I might need (and duplicates, just incase.)
Also, bring the proof of paying for the DS-160. I had that (luckily) but also didn't realize I'd need that.
Aside from waiting outside, the whole thing was wrapped up in about 30 minutes. The interviewer was a young guy and I think I lucked out with him bc he was really personable and just made it seem like a nice conversation rather than a government grilling ... read complete review

So I just had my medical (Aug 17th) and interview (Aug 24th).
For the medical I needed:
- 5 passport photos
- passport
- packet 4 email from Montreal consulate
- confirmation of interview appointment
- vaccination records (not necessary but helpful)
My medical was at 10am and I was done by noon and able to pick up my results on Monday Aug 22nd.
For the interview they asked for:
- DS-160 confirmation with the barcode (at the entrance to the consulate)
- Passport + photocopy of biographic page of passport
- Interview appointment receipt/Proof of payment (same email from Yatri that I used for the medical)
- 2 passport photos
- Sealed medical results
- Birth certificate + photocopy
- Police background check (I had the one that you can just get online and it was fine)
- I-134 + tax transcript from 2015
- Letter of intent to ma... read complete review

Long drive to this location. Spent 2 hours waiting to be seen. Do not bring anything other than your documents to interview or they will confiscate. First they take your important documents and get them in order then you want for interview. Interview was 2 minutes asked how we met and when the last time I saw him was then I was told I was approved.
