I got to the US Embassy at RJ around 7h00 and after 30 min they let us walking into the building. Went for Security Check and then to the room at the second floor. The lady started to review all the Package and asked to organize all the forms/documents in a certain order. Around 9h00, the Consul started the interview for those who had all the paperwork approved by the lady.I was the third to be interviewed and the Consul asked me questions and he didnt wait for my answers(it was weird)... Less than 10 minutes of the interview, he said: "Looks like you were approved".
Good experience.

Just be prepared with all required documents and then some. They were very rude and seem like their goal in to hinder you rather than assist you.

we had the worst experience ever. when my wife arrived there, they had said that our case had been cancelled and that I had done it. yeah right? they wouldnt give her an interview - to put it in a nutshel - i was on the phone with my senators, representatives, the benjamin at the department of state, the consulate, the us embassy, the NVC and USCIC etc etc. finally they figured out that they had made the mistake...

I would give my experience 5 stars if the lady who helps you put your documents in order wasn't so rude (not to me but to most people there).
My interview was on August 27th and was schedule for 7:45am. I arrived at the consulate early, around 6:30. There were about 10 people already in line (the non-immigrant line). Since there was no one there for me to ask where the K1 line was, I just stood there with the other people. 5 minutes later I met a woman who was also a K1 and we went on a quest to find the other line. When we did, there was someone already there. We got into the building at about 7:20. Security check, up to the second floor.
Although I already had my documents in the right other, I took my time writing down my contact info in Rio so I was the 6th person to submit the documents. But I was the 3rd to be called to be interviewed.
I was as nervous as it gets. I got in. The consul was about 50 years old. He was direct and firm but... read complete review
