Review Topic: General Review

Fui a primeira a ser chamada, fiz o juramento virifiquei a digital e me fez as seguintes perguntas:
Como se conheceram, quantas vezes já se viram e pronto seu visto foi aprovado !

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Everything is straightforward, as the previous reviews mention.
My interview was scheduled for 8:20, I got there at 7:45 and was interviewed by 9:30.
You get in, go to the area for Immigrant Visas, they give you some form to fill out (contact information of where you live in Brazil, your petitioner address and phone, where you are staying in Rio) and a list with the documents you are supposed to have with you. Most documents are the ones you already sent to NVC.

People say the photo is not necessary, but there was a woman there that the CASV didn't send the photo to the Embassy (I think because her photo didn't look good for their standards, something about her bangs being on her face) and she had to give some of the photos she brought, so it is always good to bring everything, just in case.

After checking the documents, you wait for the interview. Mine was extremely fast, she was nice and friendly and asked me: How I met my husband and when... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

The K1 Visa experience was very positive on 7/16/19. We did make sure that all of our documents were in order per the Packet 3 email links. Passport, Birth Certificate Original AND copy, Police Reports, Medical Sealed Envelope, I134 form. And the Sworn Statement. We were asked these questions: How did you meet? When did you meet? When did the relationship start? How many times have you met in person since you met originally? Then she said... Thank you for providing the other documents. We have what we need to make a decision and your Visa is Approved. It was probably a 5 minute discussion. What took longer was working with one person to verify and organize our documents in a way that they wanted to review them. Then there was another guy that re organized them to verify them a second time and then he placed the documents in another folder. All was very smooth and fast. We left my phone at a Key Stand Alone Stand in the alley of... read complete review

I am Emily's fiancé. She did not attend the interview with me and that wasn’t a problem. Most were without their S.O.

My interview was scheduled for 09:40 and I arrived around 8:20-8:30. There is a big line outside (most are there for tourist visa), so find a worker and say you have a K1 visa interview. They will let you in right away.

The k1 interviews are on the second floor where you are instructed how to organize your documents. The required documents are on the consulate website. You no longer need two pictures however, you will need to bring a copy of your fiancés passport.

You will also be required to fill out a form with your personal info and your fiancé’s (phone #, address, email) and the address of where you are staying in Rio. I say this because you can’t bring your phone in and some people that day didn’t know exactly their fiancés address and phone # etc.

Once your doc... read complete review
