the Rio de Janeiro consulate is very organized and people are polite and helpful. We arrive at 8:15 and were interviewed at 10:15 approximately. The documents were reviewed twice before the actual interview, first by a person on the "floor" and then by someone behind the glass window. In this second revision you will already know if you have everything. I saw quite a few people be told they had something missing. The final interview with an American officer was quick and they had obviously reviewed all the documentation form the original K-1 petition. They asked 4 or 5 questions about our relationship and that was it. Approved. I recommend everyone looking for information really take a look at the Rio consulate website and follow the document list posted there, that is exactly what they ask for, so make sure you have everything.
