Camilla is my Brazilian fiancé and she actually attended the interview. She arrived at the consulate 1 hour early and was told to put all of her paperwork in order. She waited for a little bit and was called in for the interview. She was only asked a few questions:
1) When did you meet your fiancé?
2) How did you meet your fiancé?
3) Are you sure that he is the father of your baby (my fiancé is pregnant with our son)?
That's it! The consular officer got up and left the room for a couple of minutes. Then he came back and said she was approved and for her to come back in a couple of days to pick up her visa.
All in all, this was not as scary as it seemed and consular officer was very nice to my fiancé.

I arrived there at 8 am sharp, and after going through clearance with a couple of nice and a couple of not so nice guards, I was admitted to the second floor, where there were a few people already being given the document order list and a password number. My papers were already in order so I just sat and waited for my number to be called. I handed in my papers and the brazilian lady gave me back the pay stubs from the affidavit, saying I had too many papers.
Then we started the waiting game. Around 10:30 we were told the consulars were late, and would start interviewing in about 30 minute, and that we could go outside for a coffee or something to eat, etc. Pretty much everyone left, including me.
Short after we were back the consular started calling people in, in no particular order. Around noon I was called into the little room and was greeted by this very nice consular. She thought it was really nice that I spoke English and asked if she could interview... read complete review

I got at the consulate at 7:30 am. Security guards? Not the most polite and nice people. It's okay to bring cell phone and gadgets - they have a locker where you'll put them. They x-ray our stuff and we go to the second floor where the immigrant visa unit is.
We get a slip of paper with a number (senha). A lady hands out a paper containing a list of the documents we have to hand out. We're asked to put the documents in order. When your number's called, you get into a booth and the lady checks the documents and forms. They had misplaced DS-230 part 1 I had sent them, so I had to fill one out and sign it.
They were indeed picky about passport pictures. Both ears must be showing. A few people had to leave the consulate and have new pictures taken.
After everyone's handed out their forms and documents, they call applicants by name. Two people were interviewing applicants.
I got into the room, and the consul made me swear everyth... read complete review
