I arrived at 8:20am for a 9am appointment. Was let up to security check on level 10 and stood in line for about 15 minutes before going through security and being shown up to the 59th floor. Waited about fifteen or so minutes before being called up to the first window where I handed over my passport, proof of payment and the pre-addressed 3kg express post satchel. Was given a sheet to read about the visa and was asked to sit down again. Called up to the same window about five minutes later and signed some forms before going over to the cashier to pay for some photocopying. Sat down again and waited a little while before I was called up to another window to be fingerprinted. Waited (for what seemed like ages, but probably wasn't any more than 30 minutes or so) to be called up for to the interview window. Consular employee asked me when I planned to leave for the US, what my fiancé does for a living, where we were getting married and how we met. (I had a stack of additional “... read complete review

My appointment was at 11, so they let me up to level 10 (security check) at 10:30. Then I went up to the 59th floor. I Got my ticket and sat down for 5 minutes before I was called up to the first window. He went through my documents and I signed some forms, then I went to sit down again. I waited about 5 minutes and was called to the interview window. He asked me 2 questions. When would I be leaving for the US, and when did I plan on getting married. That was it. Then he said that 1 word we all wait for "APPROVED." I was then on my way back to the airport. All in all it was a great experience.

The Interview was for my fiance (the beneficiary). He mention to me that it was really good and straightforward. The staff was really nice. He arrived at the consulate 30 minutes before scheduled and finish about an hour and a half later. The interview took less than 5 minutes and they did not ask him for any evidence of relationship whatsoever! In fact, as long as you have everything in order, that is you pass the medical, pass the police check, and are above the poverty line with your co-sponsor you'll be fine! We were worried because back in September of 2008 Matt was denied a B1/B2 visa... but the consular officer didn't even mention anything about that and it turned out it was the same officer than interviewed him and denied the B1/B2 VISA! So all in all, nothing to worry about as long as you pass everything and have no problems with the law or medical!!

I arrived early at the embassy and went up to the 10th floor and went thru security ... they gave me a number and kept my handbage and let me keep my paperwork... I was then called and told I could go up to the the 59th floor for my interview ...

When I got there (15min early) I had to take a number and was soon called up and spoke to a young lady who took my finger prints and went thru my paperwork and asked for my passport, visa receipt and envelope ... when she was done she told me to go sit down and that I would soon get called up for my interview .... by 9.15 I was called up and spoke to a really nice young man...

He asked me when I was getting married and I said the 2nd of May and were and I said in {Town} Oregon he asked me if Id ever been to the states and I said no and that Shay had been to Oz for 5 weeks... he asked me if I thought I would enjoy country life and I replied that I didnt know because Id never lived in a country town before but I was... read complete review

Interview was fast, people were really friendly. aslong as you follow all the step as far as paper work goes, there shouldn't be any issues.
