Review Topic: IR-5 Visa

The Consular Officer did not read our financial documents and instructed us to find a sponsor, so we had to re-submit the same documentation we had previously uploaded via CEAC, and it was then approved. The Consular Officer also requested a new passport and a re-issued version of my birth certificate because they were 'old and dirty,' which we had to submit via the local courier. After a bit of a mix-up on the Consular Office's side which delayed the process by about a week, we finally got the visas.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I can say that the interview part through all this process was the easiest one for me! My interview was at 8:45. I arrived at 8:15 and waited for about 20 minutes. Then the security called us. I had the second number to be called for the interview but in fact I was the first to be called that day. The officer was very polite and respectful. He looked through my papers and asked several questions like "when and how we met, for how long we know each other, where does my fiance live, what does he do for living, where does he live, what do we have in common...nothing complicated or tricky. It took about 10-15 minutes then my visa was approved!
