Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview was 10.30 am. I arrived 1 hour earlier.
To begin with, don't do any queue. Go straight to the windows outside, they will tell you what to do, and in every step, dont forget to say you are there for a K1 visa, and they will let you enter without make any queue.
It was after a holiday, so the embassy was full and I had to wait about 2 hours until I was interviewed.
The Interview was really smooth. CO asked me to do it in engligh to which i agreed.
He asked me how I met my fiance, If he had come to visit me, how long, how many times we have seen each other, If i had met his family, If he had met mine, why I came to Argentina to live (because Im peruvian living in Argentina with dual citicenship), he asked me about my fiance divorce and his child custody (which my fiance have it) and If his daugther know me, where he works and what he does, where we are going to live, and thats all. He told me i was going to get my passport in a few days with a en... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I was so scared about the interview (probably because of watching so many unrealistic movies) but the CO was very friendly. The procedure is as everyone described it: fingerprints, window for the green folder and afterwards the interview. The questions were all pretty much as I expected: how we met, if we met our relatives, etc. Nothing strange. He just explained that I needed a co-sponsor to meet the guidelines, got the paperwork together and submitted to the embassy, after 20 days, I went to the embassy to check since the IV unit usually takes 15 business days to reply inquiries...And 22 days later, my visa is finally approved. I am waiting for the DHL mail to go pick it up.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

It was fairly easy, I went to window 1 and said to the woman I had an appointment for Visa K-1 Immigrant, she gave me a little paper and a green folder and told me to get in, a police at the door received the little paper and allowed me to go inside, I passed through security which was very quick, then I moved to the next step which was to take my finger print, then I went into the waiting room, few minutes later I was called to present the green folder with the papers I was missing from Packet 3, after that I was called again to pay for the visa, and then finally I was called to the interview, the guy started to talk in spanish with heavy accent so I changed to english and he smiled and said that we will go faster with english, he asked me only few really basic and easy questions about my relationship and approved it.

Hello everyone, we will be giving as detailed a review as possible because without all your help we wouldn't have been as prepared as we were, so thank you.

We arrived promptly at 8:45 straight to window one outside the gate. We did not have to make any line or wait, and if you have any questions please talk to the security guarding the entrance.

Then you'll make your way to the security check point where you take off coats and sweaters, and please do not have anything on you that you shouldn't have as per the consulate instructions. The couple ahead of us were kicked out of the consulate and had to throw away candy and come back in and start all over.

Then you'll make your way to get your finger prints done and there's a lady that will check your passport and hand you your green folder, where you will place the documents in order as per the instructions in the green folder.

Then you'll need head inside the waiting room where... read complete review

We were in and out in an hour and a half. We arrived at 8:35, our appointment was at 9. Security and biometrics, super quick. After about 10 minutes in the waiting room, they called us to hand in just four things...passport, photos, medical, and DHL delivery sheet. We had prepared everything, but they told us not to worry, that they had all of that information already. After another half hour more or less, they called us for the interview. Interviewer asked my husband if he prefered English or Spanish, husband said Spanish. Asked basic questions...how we met, if this was our first marriage, if we had any kids, what he was wanting to do when he arrived to the states. Then, he said that we were approved. Que felicidad!
