We arrived at the embassy at 8:30 am. There was a very long line of people out front along Colombia street waiting to enter the embassy for tourist visas. We knew we didn't have to wait in the line, thankfully, so we figured we would try and see if they would let us in early. At the front of the embassy there are several numbered windows with embassy workers on the inside who communicate by microphone through the bulletproof glass to us people on the outside. We went directly up to window 1 (furthest to the right) and my wife stated her name and said we had an appointment at 9:00. Even though we were a half hour early, they let us in right then and there. We were given a green folder which is recognized as a VIP pass that lets you through from one station to the next without waiting in any lines.
We entered through a door to the left of the window furthest to the left, or the side opposite window 1. My wife entered, and I followed her in. A security guard outside told me... read complete review

My appointment was at 9 AM. I waited 5 minutes before being taken to a room. There an employee went over all of my paperwork (originals.) She asks me a few questions, such as when I met my fiancee, where she is from, where we met. Basic questions. She then told me that she was bringing all of the paperwork to the consul. I was sent back to the waiting room and waited for about 1 hour.
The consul then called me in to another room. We went over the paperwork over again. I then had to swear that all the information provided was correct. The whole interview lasted about 10 minutes. The consul informed me of all the things I would have to do (how long I had to enter the US, how long I had to get married...)He then asked me if I had any questions. Wished me luck and off I was.
My passport was delivered 3 days later.
In all, in was a very good experience.

Everything went smoothly. The interviewer was super cool. It problably lasted something like 10 minutes, maybe not even that.
He asked me:
How and When we met
What does she do for a living
Do I know her parents? Does she know mine?
Wedding plans?

My fiance, Marco, and I used the previous reviews of the Buenos Aires embassy to help us prepare for his interview, and we found everything to be just as expected. Things moved very smoothly, and all of the embassy officials he interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
He only brought with him the original copies of the documents that were needed (They are listed in the email they send you inviting you for your interview). You did not need to bring all of the previous documents.
The actual interview itself was very casual. They asked the questions he expected; "How did you meet?" "Have you meet her family?" "When did you last see each other?" All very conversational. They did ask him some questions about his flight plans and our wedding plans, but it wasn't an issue that we didn't have any real plans made at that time since we were waiting on his visa approval.
Marco did unfortunately not have one of his vaccines properly dated, so w... read complete review
